Very true, especially with all the options out there. Though Japan is not a country big on adoptions because parental rights rule supreme no matter how awful the situation, and to preserve family names or something like that. It's very sad. Watched a doc on it, seeing these children raised to adulthood in an orphanage just because Japan wouldn't let them be adopted. Though there are cases of fostering.
