the way they killed the doctor is so... weird. like yeah, the doctor is clearly unethical, but his goal is survival AND trying to find a cure that can help the whole world. killing him off and destroying his research lab is such a weird move bc you're basically erasing possible useful information for the future. like i get ai not wanting to sacrifice hikaru, but then he decided to sacrifice himself to bring down someone who could've been the person to find the cure for that? like? he's basically trying to kill off a guy who could've fixed everything, killed himself which was hikaru's reason to stay living, AND leaving hikaru to continue his life in such a mess of a world like that? weirdo.

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I LOVE THEIR DEVELOPMENT SO MUCH. I LOVE THE ENDING SO MUCH.
i think whats kinda disappointing is that there wasnt any closure for the doctors. esp after that cliffhanger. its like they were forgotten just like that. but looking at the last few dialogues from the white-haired doctor, it feels hopeful. maybe they were initially meant to be the second couple but didnt get to fit into the main story timeline.
i had mixed feelings with how they handled the mom by the end; giving her a "closure" and "forgiveness" for everything she had done. i dont like that, esp since it was done at jeffs expense. jeff didnt get to be understood; his feelings denied in favor of his mom. but at the same time, thinking that she endured that since early marriage until this poing of the story... couldnt help feeling sympathetic for her.
there wasnt any closure about the sister and the dad, for better or for worse, but with good faith, i hope that there was nothing between them. id like to think the villain in this story was the dad, bc no matter how i think about it, it all pointed to the dad. could the dad be having a rough time too? well, idk. idc. he was no longer there to succumb in suffering. he had the quick way out, and there was no way to prove his innocence or lack thereof.
so yeah. fuck the dad !

loved the first season so much. everything was so perfect. the second season was interesting enough, including the second couple, but i still prefer the first couple so much more. i also enjoyed the part where they were in college, though not by much. however, i didnt like how the author handled the second pair esp after dahm graduated. it's a shame bc i also liked them. the ending was abrupt too, esp for the second couple. what a shame bc i genuinely loved the first season.

at ch. 40 rn and oh my god. its so cute. so adorable. i dont understand that one comment shitting on chanyoung tbh? he's reinforcing his boundaries while being supportive instead of hurting heesu on purpose??? he's being as friendly as friends can be. theres no love triangle or asshole-first-crush-friend narrative being pushed in the story so far and i love it for that.
CLOSE ENOUGH WELCOME BACK TRUE LOVE
