Okay so I finally got the time to continue reading and the conclusion I've come to after reading 33 chapters is that Dojae has been in love with Euntak since highschool but never really understood that what he was feeling was love (although it could've also just been admiration at the time)
I think the reason it didn't seem like he was actually in love during their trip to the beach is because Dojae hadn't figured out his own feelings yet at that point due to his condition
