I don't feel bad at all for mc. He deserved it. The only victim in this story is the canon fodder omega. He was raped and killed because of mc scheme. I bet if the omega is the main character, everyone will say mc deserve it. But then again, the evil mc is the main character. So everyone feel bad about his hopeless love and just ignore the fact he caused someone's death. Also, I hope in the AU, the omega found someone else who truly love him. Someone who will still care even in their next lifetime.
The mc isn’t completely faultless, but he’s not evil. It wasn’t his plan for Raphael to be raped and murdered. He ordered the men to scare him, but that was it. I’m not saying what he did was right cause it’s not but he is still100000% still a victim. He was blinded by his love but he atoned for his sins.

You should read the novel. The MC was going to let Clough go, he was trying to move forward, but because Clough found his marriage dull, he made a sport and humiliated Aeroc for his feelings. The ML gaslighted him, creating this hatred for Rapiel.
One time, he even offered help to them, because he saw the cuts on Rapiel’s hand. But what did Clough do, he humiliated Aeroc. Like wth!?
Clough created the conflict. Aeroc didn’t want to kill Rapiel, he wanted to scare him. But yeah, it happened. It was wrong, he deserves to go to jail not be raped, impregnated or beat up… that’s why he accepted everything done to him.
That’s why Clough’s children hated him. Because this so-called justice was a lie. If he loved Rapiel, he would have sent Aeroc to jail appeasing Rapiel’s family giving them justice.
Both Rapiel and Aeroc have everyone’s sympathy because they were close in another Au.. the third world. Even in the second world, they have a better relationship. No. Ines did reverse psychology on him. Why did she show up in front of him that time in the early chapters? She went there with a specific goal. To remind him they needed to get married because they were already 7 years passed the marriage age. They were 23 years old and people get married at 16 years old. The manhwa just didn’t spell it out for readers. There is no way Ines simply just goes to look for Carcel. She was completely disinterested in him except to use him for marriage and then divorce.
As to marriage, Ines said in the novel that it was a big deal for a man not to be married. That’s why Carcel was always talked about in gossip fodder. It was not only women who needed to marry.
