I don't really think this is yaoi, I think it's more about learning to be yourself. So many people are made to feel ashamed of hobbies, interests, things they like/dislike due to other people's reactions or traumas from childhood. I cried a little bit because it was so relatable. I stopped drawing because I was made to feel childish due to my peers. But why make yourself feel miserable when everyone else chases their dreams?
Michelle is the first girl in a yaoi I have ever seen not be an angry lady, ugly (basically a dude with long hair), or a scorned love interest. And everyone loves her in the comments. I hope modern comics keep writing women who aren't furniture.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I seriously love how this author writes female characters (even though it's only Jinju and Michelle at the moment). It's seriously annoying when female characters in BL are usually just used as some kind of bitchy one off obstacle in the MC's relationship. I'm glad Dols doesn't go the usual route of making the girls unlikable and instead gives us a believable character with an actual personality, even if it does cause a bit of conflict in the beginning.
