No matter how bad they are, parents are parents. We can talk and resolve it at home but it not place for an outsider to step in like that, moreover he's just a brat.
My mother used to be like that too and I used to resent her a lot, but we have resolved it now after many years , do you think problems will be resolved when an outsider brat runs his mouth like that? No, it's just useless blabbering for the sake of his ego only.
You must understand the root of the problem and unwind it gradually, it took efforts and hurt as well but the result may worth it.
what the omega did definitely not help the situation, but I don’t think he should’ve apologized to the mom. No matter how u look at it, the mom was obviously in the wrong and publicly shaming her son... if anything, the omega should’ve just apologized to the alpha for stepping in and perhaps being insensitive. The mom doesn’t deserve anything though.
The idea that “parents are parents” no matter what they do is suchhhh a toxic mindset.
I don’t think “Parents are parents” is the right way to approach things when familial relationships can get so complicated. (I won’t be talking about this story specifically, but the mindset.)
The fact is, some parents don’t deserve to have kids. Some parents abuse their kids—that’s the whole reason why there are organizations that look out for the well-being of children in relation to their parents. They are outsiders who can potentially save a kid’s life. Neighbors, teachers, or friends who report parents can save a kid’s life.
Some people are shitty, and parents are NOT an exception of that. What do you say about parents who attempted to kill their children? Who abandoned them in public areas in attempt to get rid of them? Who raped them?
The problem is so complicated, so you shouldn’t simplify it with “Parents are parents” when it isn’t applicable to all situations.
I’m sure that in the case of your mom, it is applicable! However, you shouldn’t compare your situation to anyone else’s. One case isn’t able to speak for all cases.
That is because all the yelling and stuff you are refenong to from your parents side is not as bad to thr degry if being abusive and toxic,, it is when it reaches that level that you basically give up on your feelings towards your parents
How could you know it's not as bad or not as abusive ? It cost me 20 years of torturing myself on the road of seeking freedom, but oneday I realized how I could cure my mother's toxicness, yeah, not everyone is the same but still you should never let outsiders insult your family, that's my view point.
