It's not a competition. Just because there are worse out there doesn't mean the current is suddenly better and shouldn't deserve the hate. Imagine your current boyfriend verbally abuses you and calls you ugly and useless piece of trash, and your ex used to beat you. Just because your ex was worse, doesn't mean your current boyfriend is good. He is still trash.

What I don't understand is why people set the bar so goddamn low and always look at "what's worse" rather than focus in the trash in front of them. In addition, maybe the people who hate on jk havent read those "worse" stories so how are they supposed to even know what is worse? And again, it doesn't matter if there are worse, it's not a competition.

i think its because he looks like a parody of all those toxic tops (especially the eyebrows ngl). hes known as the horse for a reason. also i agree i think other semes should be hated much more (like the dude from reverse thinking or passion or roses and champagne, what even is that thing)

I think the problem with Jaekyung, which COULD be expanded upon in the later story, is that he is an awful person for seemingly no reason. Caesar from Roses and Champagne is not kind because he was raised to be that way and lacks proper knowledge in how to treat others. Lee Woo-Yeon from Love History Caused by Willful Negligence is not kind because he is physically unable to feel emotions. Other semes are abusive because they are either fucked up from something in their past, or genuinely have mental issues that causes such things. So far, all we’ve seen is Jaekyung being a bad person just because he can be, or thinks himself better of everyone else. And, ik the author said we’ll have the chasing arc, but judging by how she treated the “apology” in BJ Alex, we don’t have much hope Jaekyung will ACTUALLY apologize for being cruel to Dan and SAing him.
