The title is completely misused.
Stockholm Syndrom is an emotional response, that happens to some abuse and hostage victims(as f.exp. The Uke) - they end up having positive feelings towards an abuser or captor - loving them unconditionally, making it hard for them to see reality.
In this story (till now) it's just hatred on hatred; a captive with PTSD.
It's okay but I really hope it'll be able to develop into the real case of ShSy.
the process of him loving the other guy had already begun though, and it will probably develop further and fester in season 2. it usually stays lowkey for a little while but then become really strong really fast and i think itll likely happen if they meet again. not that im looking forward to it at all this storys hard to stomach lol
I am going to start studing criminal psychology soon - thus I already know a lot about how psychopaths think.
Although there are some patterns that would have to be changed (such as his dreams having to be black and white).
I find this an amazing illustration.
"nobody is born a villain"
The necessary triggers are within the story - & although Sangwoo would more or less be a hopeless case for treatment - he would not be able to be hold accountable for his actions as he does not see his wrong doings/ does them in a stage of trance.
Most psychopaths know that their doings is wrong - but learn to adapt to society.
Sangwoo lost his touch to society after meeting Bum.
I find this story to be fascinating - both side wise.
The crush Bum had at first turned to immediate hatred - however within his traumatic experience he could most likely also have sawn somewhat of a bonding person (like a parent figure) in Sangwoo as well.
The easier solution would be that Bum just experienced Stockholm - syndrome.
But the intensity of both cases seem to gradually increase - as to why i think we could say that, firstly both have severe psychological problems and secondly that if Sangwoo never had met Bum - he might have just become our typical psychopathic serial killer.
(I know no one asked for this, but I find it magnificent how this manga was able to reflect something so real into fiction)
