im gonna be real i do not gaf abt these past life chapters. 42 chapters into this season and this shit is still dragging on. it feels so unnecessary, i didn’t care about ian’s past life in season 1 and i don’t care about it now. i stopped reading the chapters entirely, just skim them to see if this arc is finally over. i bet it’s all going to be meaningless once it’s over too lmfaooo
And they didn't have any type of closure before this long ass backstory started so I wasn't even kind of ready for backstory chapters, I would've wish they just did the back story in chapter fragments like other stories do or just wait until it's a better time if it had to be
the novels are infinitely better but the webtoon follows the basic story. nothing “gets better”. lee wooyeon is later revealed to be a diagnosed psychopath, he mellows out when he decides to love choi inseop. none of the sex scenes up to this point have been anything worse than dubcon, their explicitly consensual sex scenes play out the same way. however later, when lee wooyeon and choi inseop are officially dating, there is a violent rape scene, and choi inseop forgives lee wooyeon immediately. that’s their relationship. this is it. if you don’t like what you’ve read up to this point then i suggest you drop it instead of wasting your time because nothing changes.
Oh thanks for this. Not that I hate stories where nothing "gets better", but I just sorta expected more when it had such an interesting storyline at the start. I'm not even wishing for them to get together, really, but I would have wanted to see Choi Inseob "triumph" in some way, and wasn't sure where this was heading anymore.
