I often think that the Japanese take on various holidays is too romance-centric. It seems lonely to me that you only spend Christmas with just your boy/girlfriend or whathaveyou instead of your entire family. Valentine's day makes more sense as a romance-centric holiday, but even so, it's sad that it's girls only thing. My experience with Valentine's day is everyone giving everyone something, even if it's just a small card. The point is that you're showing you appreciation for all of you're loved ones.... Am I alone on this? It seems much too lonely for me.
Well, I was disliking him earlier but somehow with this I'm OK... I'm not sure how to explain it but... Before when she got caught up in his business, he didn't lift a finger going 'well, that's how the world is'. That's somehow more reprehensible to me. Now she was used as bait but was carefully watched over as he did super shady stuff in the background. Somehow it makes it seem more... I don't know... necessary?... utilitarian? I'm not saying I like him, but at least this time he pulled her out of the fire and is trying to get her to forget the whole thing.
I think that, yes, the story ended rather abruptly, however, I don't think it's too bad of a stop. Overall, most stories like this long over stay their welcome, so I really appreciate one which ends at a reasonable time. I don't like it when they drum up lame excuses and sappy dramas to force the story to continue for another hundred chapters.
Ugh, I have a cousin like their mother.... I can't take it...
