This manga just gets all my feelings.

Sorami June 25, 2017 6:12 pm

None of Donyun's flashback show him raping anyone so why is that yellow eye guy (still bad at names) raping him? I seriously find it hard to believe that somoene could forget raping another person. At this point, I really don't think Donyun raped anyone. Maybe yellow eyed guy had an obsession with Donyun from the beginning but now he's actually exacting revenge on someone else's behalf? And yellow yes guy is going along with it because he finally gets to do whatever he wants.

I do not know. None of the reasoning makes sense.

    magz June 25, 2017 6:36 pm

i dont think he raped him either. I also dont know why people are calling the uke an ass etc. or what has he done that needs revenge.

from what i understand he was indifferent about any relationships he had, including with the yellow eyes (they were lovers) and he left him without a 2nd thought and even forgot about him. I dont think the seme wants revenge, its more like he wants to get back together with him and he thinks by raping him they will be still connected and go back to how things used to be.

    pinco June 25, 2017 6:37 pm

it seems he played with the yellow eyed guy who was madly in love with him. the sex may be more or less consensual, but for me it feels like the kidnapped guy took advantage of the clueless cute boy. that's sad but cannot justify this madness. I hope for a big revelation *crossing fingers*

    Kinoin June 25, 2017 6:38 pm

Maybe what's going on is that Donyun left the guy back in high school - maybe said something along the lines of: "we were just sex friends" or "we were just having fun, weren't we?" as if their relationship meant nothing to him. Or Donyun just cruelly broke up with the guy even though the guy still was very much in love.

    But that's just my conjecture...

    GGSTER June 25, 2017 6:51 pm

If you read the raws you could see that Sungho (the yellow eyed guy) became traumatized after Donyun's disappearance. Simple actions such as someone touching the back of his neck, he would react in an aggressive manner. I could understand some of the chinese lines so I came up with the assumption that back then Donyun had convinced Sungho to do sexual favors for him. It's gonna show it in a future chapter where Sungho looks very unwilling and hesitate.
In a sense Donyun did rape Sungho, when he was unwilling Donyun would continue to push and get Sungho to do it. Sungho convinced himself that it should be fine, after all, he loved him. Kinda like that one yaoi called Seishun Kinema where the Seme manipulated the Uke into only depending on him. I believe that's what Donyun had done, used Sungho's feelings in order to satisfy his cravings, never did he love him. Soon Donyun would suddenly disappear and Sungho would come to realize this. That he was just used. (Sungho calling Donyun selfish) Sungho someone who had no friends in school, completely dependent on Donyun like a puppy would soon drown in in the past, unable to move on. Before he knows it, he's become twisted as he in trapped in what used to be, all of these anguish feelings he'll point towards none other than the one who took away his innocence, Donyun.
Eveything that Sungho is doing to Donyun, Donyun had done to Sungho in high school. Sungho is trying to get back at Donyun by making him feel what he felt back then, trapped in that small storage room, violated, etc.

That's just my theory tho :x
I haven't read that far into the raws because I didn't wanna spoil myself to much so yeah.

    Ι_read_everything!damn-it! June 25, 2017 7:50 pm

Perfect theory! I think you just solved it! Or at least i hope so because if would be interesting to see that!

    likalaruku June 25, 2017 9:35 pm

Just a guess, but I think even in school, Sungho liked Dohyun way more than he liked him. Even though Dohyun was dominant back then, maybe he was a prude who never put out, & Sungho is doing all the things to Dohyun he wished had been done to him.... Of course that would make him a sexual masochist when ge's clearly more of a sadist.

Seems more like Sungho wanted to be more dominant/active during sex and Dohyun wouldn't let him, so now he's acting out his fantasies. Even the nape touching and tickling has elements of a power struggle. Dohyun was allowed to touch Sungho, but Sungho was never allowed to touch Dohyun.

    Here's the Korean raws: https://webtoon.bamtoki.com/%EA%B0%90%EA%B8%88%EC%B0%BD%EA%B3%A0-34.html

Sorami June 22, 2017 12:47 am

And I know 0 Korean so I used google translate (what an endeavour, respect to the translator) and I have no idea if I got this right so can somoene who knows Korean help me?

P.S. I forgot character names so I'm gonna nan call him yellow eye guy and hostage.

Spoiler....

I used this site: https://webtoon.bamtoki.com/감금창고-34.html

So yellow eye guy has the hostage chained to the bed once again and I guess from all the panting and sighing the hostage was raped again. Then yellow eye guy told the hostage he likes him. And I think he said that the hostage is his forever but I'm not sure. (Respect for the bilingual people). And then those two other guys came in. One was on the phone but I wasn't sure if he was talking to whoever was on the other line or what but he noticed there were people occupying the warehouse and it doesn't look like he expected the warehouse to be in use. (I learnt the Korean word for motherfucker somewhere around here.) I guess they broke in to steal but they saw yellow eye guy and the hostage and said fuck it. They thought the scene was weird and said its better they not get caught up in it. Yellow eye guy attacked so they knocked him out. One remarked that it was annoying and then he just left them there. So now the hostage is tied up, yellow eye guy is unconscious, the door is open and two people know that there are people in the warehouse but they they think it's a joke.

Oh the tension!

i dont know korean and i used google translate, but i kept up with all the previous chapters and if you do you will get the gist of it...so:

the panting wasnt Dohyun (hostage) getting raped, that was Sengho (yellow eyes freaking out) he was breathing hard and sweating (anxiety attack) ,when Dohyun woke up he told him he liked/loved? him,Dohyun was shocked and laughed nervously saying whats with Sengho telling him that now after strangling him and that he feels like he is going crazy.Sengho asks Dohyun about what he said that its over between them and says that it isnt over.Dohyun freaks out looks around the room and am guessing realized there is no way out and just gives up.he tell Sengho to just kill him and that he is tired and doesnt know what to do anymore and that that death is better than this.

the guys break in (these arent some random robbers, they were specifically sent after Sengho by someone, they have been stalking him for some time and when that hat guy walked in,he was saying to the guy on the phone that he did the job and asked for more pay(my guess is those guys are sent by Sengho's boss, because he noticed a change in his behavior and wanted to see what he was up to)

the guy cusses Sengho out and i think he tells him that he knew he was up to some shit, and that he has no work ethics and if he does stupid things like this, they will get caught or in trouble.

Sengho is out of it,he just walks to the door saying he has to close it.the dude whacks him and says something like "crazy people cause trouble for others to the end".

thats my understanding of it :/ hope we have a chinese/korean speaker to explain it better :/

Well yeah I mean Sungho just almost killed the love of his life so he is a little out of it.

I don't think he is going to go down without a fight though.

lets hope he DOES go out without a fight this time though lol,i really want Dohyun to leave, poor thing for how long is he gonna be locked up in there, and under Sengho's mercy and his ever changing mood.....

true true, but at least they are not have an obsession of him :/ or have something personal against Dohyun. i doubt they will kill him,i think worse case scenario they will take him to that old man and he will he will put a big debt on Dohyun for him to pay? eventually their boss will decide what to do with him :/

that old man seems like a loan shark, judging from his conversations with Sengho.i dont think he has anything to do with that line of work, thats why i guessed about the debt.besides Dohyun is really not the type to be easily tossed around without a fight,am sure he will come up with something.

am interested to see what those guys are gonna do next though and how they will interact with Dohyun.

this is completely random, but am shipping Dohyun with hat gay lol.its never happening i know, but Sengho is stressing me out,i need some imagination lolol.

That Yoonjae sure is an ass. Who the hell runs into a "friend" they haven't seen in a long time and basically goes, 'Remember when your uncle used to molest you? How's that working out for you?' Right in front his girl at that! Like wtf?! He didn't even have anything to gain from putting Yoonbum down. Biggest dickhead ever!

This manhwa started out with a lot of potential and now it just looks like the author just wants to torture the character and forgot the plot.

What's the point of putting on the collar if the guy is already chained to a pole?

Detain has a similar plot, maybe they will execute it better.

    Anonymous May 15, 2017 4:13 pm

he wanted to trigger the uke and show who has the control. he can be chained and still get collared bc he cant do anything about, now listen to me and lower ur eyes. something like that

    Nickname May 15, 2017 4:22 pm

from what i've seen in the raws that's not the case at all and the author is advancing the plot and every now and then we get bit's and pieces from their backgroundstory the thing with the collar was just a punishment for the uke trying to get the upper hand by hurting himself. it was therefor not pointless at all but just the seme being angry at the uke for cutting himself

    ame May 15, 2017 4:39 pm

ikr but i won't drop it bc i wanna see if maybe the author is hiding something for us ( ̄∇ ̄")

John's father either has the ability to gauge other people's ability or had John tested when he was young and knew from an early age that John was super strong. As John grew, his father saw the effects the status quo had on him, that coupled with John's ability and his temper made John a dangerous child. John's father saw this and foresaw John being a threat to society if he continued on his path so he wrote Unordinary for two reasons:

1) To inspire John to use his powers unselfishly for good.
2) To change society's mentality. Unordinary was not just to inspire high powered individuals to be better people and to lead instead of bully but also to acclimate society to the thought of an extremely high powered individual being a benefit rather than a threat.

However, Unordinary is ultimately a tool to encourage high power individuals to rein themselves in because the truth is, everyone abusing their powers for their selfish whims will lead to chaos especially since only people of the same or higher rank can stop another person once they start to use their powers. That truth became more apparent as John's father watched his son grow. Naturally, the part about questioning the status quo was instantly received and rejected by the public, not necessarily because the people were against equality but we're already accustomed to living in a hierarchy and couldn't come to terms with the disruption the book was causing so they banned the book. Of course, the public missed the second point of Unordinary which was a warning. There is a possibility that John and people like him are the strongest in their world and everyone compared to them are essentially crippled. Fighting people like that would be useless and Unordinary was to teach the people how to handle people like John without terminating them.

I theorise that not only was John naturally strong but had a natural control of his power as well which makes him a true genius and child prodigy. John's father probably did send John to preschool and elementary school but John was often violent towards his classmates. As a result, John's father withdrew him from school to monitor him and teach him empathy and restraint as well as write his book, Unordinary. Thinking his mentoring a success, John's dad sent him to high school but sadly, the training failed once John began to interact with his peers and John's control of his anger degenerated once his peers began to show their true colours.

Despite his expulsion, John's father didn't see his efforts as a failure as John also does a sweet and goofy side to him. John's father knows that John is capable of being better so he decides to try harder with his son, hence the gap year between John's first and second high school. While I don't think John's father ever instructed John not to use his powers, they probably both saw that John could easily become unhinged if he felt backed into a corner but also could become addicted to power if he was given too much. John was probably neverr instructed not to use his power but instead instructed to use his power as minimally as possible. Wanting to impress his father and prove to himself that he could be better, John probably challenged himself to exist as a cripple. With a new attitude, John's dad allowed him to go to Wellston, confident that John would be better. He gave John a copy of Unordinary for inspiration which John avidly reads to remind himself of his new resolve.

And that's my theory so far.

Three things, if people reject something that is based on equality because they are too used to the status quo, they ARE against equality. Because the status quo is based on inequality. Thanks.

Secondly, what about the beginning narrative where it is said that John was born without a power?

Three, John was bullied long before he took down his class. It was stated that Claire helped him that time in order to help him become the king and when it went disastrously wrong, she betrayed him, immediately after that.

    ... May 12, 2017 2:43 pm

Three things, if people reject something that is based on equality because they are too used to the status quo, they ARE against equality. Because the status quo is based on inequality. Thanks.Secondly, what a... @Anonymous

    1) It depends on what you veiw as equality. Is your idea of equality: five bananas, five people, each get one? Or five bananas, five people, the ones with deficiencies get more bananas because they need more, while the healthiest and strongest get less because they don't need it as much? Or only those who plant the bananas get them and if anyone else wants they have to trade for something equally valuable? All ideas can be seen as fair until you apply them to see their shortcomings in a working system.

It's possible that the people see the status quo as equal already. In a world where everyone has powers, would you want a weakling or cripple to be in authority? How would they be able to control anyone they're in charge of or defend themselves if even children can defeat them? The powerful rule because they won't require too much external resources to defend their positions. The shortcoming to this, as John point out, is might isn't always right; valuable people and good ideas could be shot down because weaker people can't defend themselves. (Sounds like the real world.)

    2) Could be a lie to trick the reader so the story wouldn't be spoiled too soon. If you go back to chapter 4 (I think) John's eyes actually glows in one of the pictures when he's throwing that stone kid out the window. At that point we were all supposed to be convinced John had no powers so it was probably overlooked by most if not everyone but going back, that could have very well been uruchan dropping hints.

    3) That has nothing to do with the theory, honestly. I never theorise John wasn't bullied before high school. Just stated that his history of violence probably started before high school.

    anonymous May 16, 2017 4:46 am

nah i also think about that....
i re-read from the beginning and yes, the narrative said that "i wasn't born wih an ability of my own". well it has two options; it might be the trick for the readers or his power actually absorb/copying power of he others
and for the bullied one it is stated in the chapter before (idk which is, i forget) that john back then was bullied and isolated, it may be because of his power is really strong so his environment treat him really strict & isolated so he couldn't use his power because it's dangerous?? and after he's been saved by claire he knews his ability and got really mad about everyone that treats him like shit, hence the bad temper??

I've just started reading this manga and I'm now I'm chapter 86.

For those of you who are familiar with the biblical story of Job, doesn't Eunju's story remind you of the story of Job? In chapter 85, X wondered how it would be if Eunju lost everything, would she finally fall to the temptation of the dice? It's got me wondering if X will start directly targeting Eunju and if X isn't God is he Satan?

If you're further along, please don't spoil this for me. This topic is just wild speculation.
