it’s all good in the end, the next chapter is from Rou’s pov basically explaining that he’s always found romance easy bc if he just treats the person nice sometimes and coldly sometimes then they always end up falling for him and confessing their feelings, but also for that reason he’s never had strong attachment towards any of his past relationships. but this won’t work with Yoshino bc he’s so new to love and easily scared away, as shown in previous chapters he’s already pessimistic so he wouldn’t dare to make the first move. Rou’s friend (the black haired barkeeper) knows this, and tells Rou to stop going about his crush in such an immature and complicated way, but to be completely honest. Rou is sulking at the bar bc Yoshino has stopped coming again when someone comments that they’ve just seen him at a club nearby. Rou rushes off and finds Yoshino sitting with some random guy who’s trying to make a move but Rou desperately intervenes and pulls Yoshino out of the club and they start walking to the train station. Yoshino stops and asks him a bit angrily why Rou keeps interfering in his life when he’s doing his best to try to forget about him. Rou finally loses his “cool” facade and admits he really likes Yoshino even though he knows he hasn’t really acted like it, and they get each other’s numbers so he can explain everything another day. Then in the next chapter Yoshino keeps having to change the meeting time because of being busy with work but eventually they do talk and Rou says he’s been in love with Yoshino for a long time, even before he came to the bar, because he always say him helping the elderly on the train and he was interested in such a kind person. Then they have sex and make up, and Yoshino says he’s noticed Rou’s aura has changed to be a bit more panicky and nervous. So don’t worry, it’s nice that Rou opens up about his emotions and stops trying to be this uncaring asshole type lol

i'm really starting to dislike shin. he rarely (if ever) shows affection to wolfgang and constantly criticises him. just because you deeply worry for someone's wellbeing to the point of paranoia and anger, it doesn't mean you're not a toxic person.

i understand that the king is too reckless but he's still the /king/ and he's already proven he's a lot smarter and stronger than he appears, or else why would he have survived on the streets as a child? He should only be given guidance by his advisor, not shouted at and slapped and ignored like a child.

shin is literally just taking his own insecurities and self-hatred out on wolfgang at this point. and wolfgang is too nice so he just takes it all.

I agree that Shin is borderline-controlling and too sensitive whenever it comes to Wolfgang. But I beg you pardon to consider his past trauma and the burden he carries inside. It’s true that his mentality is unstable and he utterly doesn’t believe he deserves Wolfgang’s affection, which combined with Wolf’s oblivion and inexperience has been stalling their relationship for so long. There’s progress to come, small as it is, so I hope they can one day address his issues.

I thought this too until I saw the raws, he's smart... Very smart

I disagree, I think Shin show his affection in the only way he know how that wasn't twisted by the old king. by making Wolf the best king he can be, this is his way to make him happy. and Wolf know that by the way and is aware of his past. besides he isn't a normal person that had a normal childhood, I bet if you had a childhood with a perv Pedophilia that want to rape you and touch you all the time, you won't hurry to hug someone too. so he is doing it in another way, his own way. and you know what, it is fine.

I agree with you. Many viewers just don't understand that how much burden shim carries.

when minato was sitting all alone at the table and thanked the flower and said "he's coming over for you" it was so cute but also broke my heart like noooo baby he's coming over for YOU!!!

you can tell how deeply lonely and how he feels like he doesnt deserve love even from the smallest moments, but also how he tries hard to trust shizuma and not to pester him with his paranoia. i'm actually glad for a 2nd volume, it might seem like the author is just dragging out the same issues about insecurities and trust but i find it realistic. it shows that old habits and thought patterns are really hard to erase and it takes a lot of conscious effort from both sides to heal.

healing is a continuous journey, not something that can be solved by one dramatic declaration of love like most stories portray.

this is hotter than most yaoi that actually has explicit smut in it. the art is just *chef’s kiss* and the author is so good at building sexual tension

Does anyone know where I can read the actual novel version of this story? are there any English translations out of all the chapters? I can only find translations of the first two chapters by rose squad scans.

hope the extras get uploaded too, the raws look so cute!!

Ik some people think the plot is too easy and nothing substantial happens but I think this is such a refreshing change from all the typical angst and 20 chapters of misunderstandings!

i mean, there's still a dark backstory and dramatic moments but i really like the "anything's okay as long as we have each other" vibe of this manhwa bc it just keeps everything bright.

you can really see that the two main characters love each other with their entire heart and it's rare to see truly equal love which goes both ways in BL (i hate when one person has all the power, it's just pitiful).

it's so sweet that theyre really openly affectionate with each other and idk about you but i'd actually prefer to see more mangas/manhwas that are filled with domestic fluff than just unnecessary arguing and chasing.

tsunami October 20, 2019 2:28 pm

For such a dramatic plot, idk why it felt so empty? Like i didnt connect to the characters at all and it felt like there was no emotional depth
i want to say it's because the story was so rushed but ive read other mangas that have been very satisfying within just 5 chapters or less
It's a shame bc I love this author's art style

i've noticed that kiriya has a tendency to run out on situations where he feels threatened emotionally, such as when he leaves to join the yakuza for many years when he realises his feelings for zaizen or immediately turns around in the latest chapter when he thinks about how zaizen had lunch with his ex.

kiriya has a severe 'leave before you get left' mentality because he's scared of rejection after being neglected his entire life. he even says 'i'm never anyone's first choice' or something along those lines to zaizen, which makes me extremely sad because i can relate to his loneliness so deeply.

at the minute, even though they've progressed physically, it seems that zaizen clearly understands that kiriya cares a lot about him, but only in a familial way, and kiriya is just sexually, not romantically, attracted to him. kiriya still believes zaizen is just going along with him because he's kind. i hope that zaizen and kiriya can finally confess their love to each other straightforwardly and openly and tell each other there's never been anyone else in the picture. i trust that the author will tie up loose ends with a satisfying ending.

this is one of the only yaoi authors whose plot and individual backstories i enjoy more than just the relationship dynamic and sex. she's great at creating complex, realistic, heartbreaking characters.

Yes, this whole avoidance thing is giving me an anxiety headache. Shimizu Yuki is a strong and fearless writer who doesnt hesitate to carry through on situations she has taken great care to set up ... Zaizen receiving Kiriya's bones, for example.
