I actually think it's the opposite. When I "read" the raws, I have no clue what they're talking about, so I use google translate and most of the times, guessing what the conversation is. Sometimes, based on the panels, you have a pretty good idea of what is going on. However, I never really know what's going on. That just causes me to want to see the translated version even more. It builds the anticipation for me.
