That's because her family didn't do anything bad to her. lol. She abused her younger sister out of jealousy and so her family punished her accordingly, and treated her like the ticking time bomb that she is. You can't expect people to treat you nicely if all you've ever been is a bitch to them. The only people that treated her wrongly were the other nobles, but even then, they were kinda of only saying the truth about the old Sylvia.

I respect your opinion too. I'm just wondering when have they disregarded her as a daughter. That's other nobles. They treat her like the daughter of their house, but also like a troublemaker. She can be a kid longing for love, but that doesn't mean she's entitled to live life without consequences.

edit: HER PARENTS ARE SHIT. ive learned that she became like this bc her parents didnt love her or showed any affection. they also didnt care to stop those ppl who insulted sylvia. IVE EDITED THIS bc ive decided to continue reading in hopes itll change my mind and it did! she was mistreated and called "plain," "ugly," "better off as a maid" since she was little wc shattered her self esteem and became quiet and as the insults continued, her inferiority complex grew so she she started stress eating wc is why she became chubby. things got worse and bc shes sad and lonely, she directed her anger on her younger sister, thats why she showed hatred and violence towards her. her sister seems nice, in the prologue she belongs to those who loves sylvia, and the mc who got reincarnated as sylvia made the right move of speaking up to her father and apologizing to her sister. raising her head and changing for the ppl she loves, i admire that!

I mean if her family was saying awful things prior to her abusing her sister, than yeah, the family is in the wrong. But so far that doesn't seem to be the case. From the manwha it was other people, not the brothers or the father who were calling her plain, ugly, and better off a maid, it was the people around her. AlsoI'm pretty sure Sylvia interpreted that her parents didn't love her due to her inferiority complex, it's like her mind created fake scenarios, not that her parents didn't love her. So I think the family might've worsened the situation, but they weren't at fault.

If her parents were shit, than that's inconsistent writing, since the father doesn't seem like he would be awful for no reasons. But I can't really expect much from these reincarnation manwhas which are just riding off the hype of other reincarnation manwhas.
