Is it a mistake in translation or did it really happen? Because, for a Japanese person, that's a huge deal! Are we seeing a new best friend scenario here?!
Edit: nevermind, I found the raws and Izuku actually uses ショート (hero name) instead of 焦凍 (real name). Poor Deku must've felt awkward using "Shouto" without honorifics because it sounds like his first name. Pity, it would've been a great development to their friendship...

The author could also imply that they're getting closer to each other, I mean in the chapter before Fuyumi thanked Midoriya for being Shoto's friend. Could be one of the these two reasons I guess, maybe both

Yeah, but he uses honorifics (-kun). He doesn't usually use them if he's just calling out heroes by their hero name. That's what's bugging me.

Not that I don't appreciate seeing what the league's been up to, and I know that this whole arc is necessary for the main plot, but I'm not here for them. I don't care about them and they actually bore me to death. This is boku no HERO academia, just bring back UA, and 1A, and the heroes. Fuck, even Endeavor's arc was better than sitting around and reading about Toga of all people.
Also, how many chapters has it been since we've seen Deku?! You know, the main character? The one that's supposed to become the number one hero? Yeah, that one.
They cut him out right after giving him five more quirks, like he wasn't already excesively OP and then just. Stopped. To focus on villains.

Lol likely the bird - Horikoshi is definitely drawing this arc out. I read the newest chapter and was like, “who even cares?? Go back to Dabi.” Seems like he wants to give ALL the villains backstories. Hopefully he finishes this arc up sooner I’m getting sick of it now that the more important villains have already been given a backstory. (All that’s left is Dabi...)
Yeah, I agree. It's getting annoying, I haven't read the last few chapters because I'm waiting for a friend to tell me when they finish this arc so I can read it all in one go and be done with it. Hopefully soon...

I read this about ten years ago, and it's still one of my all-time favorites. This story, even if it's so short, has left me such a mark that it'll probably always have a special place for me. I wish there were more of this. Like this, I mean. This one was perfect in every way, and the author must've known that prolonging it would've only ruined it.
Look, I agree that not every story needs to have a happy ending, but the managemet of the story the author did was just poor planing. In my opinion, all three characters deserved to be punished, not only two of them and especially not letting the guy that started all this mess go about his life like nothing happened, with the addition of being the only one that got what he wanted to boot.
There can be awful stories that are good, like killing stalking for example. But this? This wasn't one of them.
To be honest I would've been happier with the story if all three of them just died. The mother was the only somehow-likable character in this clusterfuck, and it's pretty gross that they decided that she'd be the one to die. You want a better ending? Let the guy kill the old bastard, and then let him go completely crazy and kill the protagonist and then himself. Even cliché is better than this.

Lolness, this was one of the stories where I do agree that the best sol’n was well, murder-suicide. It was just a really messed up ending as Sihyun got what he wanted, Kyunghee dependent and tied to him. (￣へ￣）
Something tells me things will not end well for Bum. Sangwoo wouldn't just give up his freedom this easily. I'm pretty sure he just made things worse for Bum... Ugh. This is the worst. How can people actually like Sangwoo?!
