HOLY. SHIT. I stopped reading at the backstory bullshit but congrats to the author, he got A LOT better.
My blood was boiling in season 1 because of all the miscommunication but it all changed? ML and MC are honest to each other now, they actually love each other and be kind now. Amazing really.
Art really improved too
Imma be honest I don't like the MC at all. She strings both dudes along and then acts cold to them, leaving them crawling on the floor.
The worst thing is how conventionally stupid she becomes when the plot demands it like
''Oh, my aunt's house exploded? the house which holds an incredibly important gem that Cosette wants? and Cosette was there faster than anyone? gee, I wonder WHAT'S happening here, no clue really''
''oh this guy just confessed his undying love to me and proposed to me? gee, I wonder what he means, I reall don't understand.''
Even more annoying is, she doesn't talk to them properly. She doesn't have to monologue her entire life, just a basic human explanation like
''I have some secrets I can't share with anyone'' or ''I will tell you one day when it's all over''
is enough BUT NO, DON'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING, JUST LEAVE THE DUDE HANGING THERE AND THEN WONDER WHY HE'S SAD AND WHY HE DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR STORY

I AM BEGGING ON MY FOURS for the father to join MC. He had some bullshit talk about how ''he can't do anything now and all he can do is cry about it'' or something but revenge can and will happen, it's on you to redeem your regret and neglect for the past years.
Imagine some irredeemable soulless monsters killing your son and your response is ''no! they don't deserve to get killed, they're just children!'' yeah so was your son they pressured to jump from a cliff and laugh when he gets split in half by a car.
The husband might be working behind the scene or in the dark. I mean let's be honest, if this goes that direction, the father is literally a detective and he should and would've known the details if he is investigating how his son died and following his wife and all but staying in the dark cuz he knows he can6be forgiven by her or so he thought and maybe knew his wife has made in contact with that guy and saw that he might foil the wife's plan and was staying in the line of work and taking this job on purpose so help his wife in anyway he can to atone his son's of not being a good father and husband. soon that's just my take one and a theory, a manga theory!
