This might be one of the best horror BLs out there. Not really scary in the traditional sense with monsters or anything but in the sense that you feel everything they are feeling.
You can feel Makoto's anger and love, you can feel Jonathan's desperation and fear, you can feel their want to live and their want to die.
You can feel the shock every time they overturn the situation, and the fear of what might come next.
I both love and hate the ending. On one hand, it's a bittersweet end that fits this psychological horror story. But on the other hand I hate sad endings where a character dies, so much so that I cling to bullshit excuses to revive them, but this ending fits perfectly.
This was a fucked up love story that lasted generations and it continues to go on even after the ending. I'm sure that Gerard Way or whatever the replacements name was, he is going to follow in the same path until the end of time, because demons don't have the luxury of waiting for death to take them.
