I read all the new chapters in a row and when the last came I’ve started crying: what could I do without the naive, squishy ray of sunshine Jinho and the jealous, devil Hwanung... nut the story doesn’t have a true ending... I mean... Bumjoon kept teasing him, there weren’t any interaction between the two of them and most importantly, the story’s plot changed too much for me

I guess the anime had an original ending. Sometimes when a work is not finished they talk with the mangaka to animate a different ending
Actually, I saw the raws of volume 3, and it shows scenes that were in the anime. I think the anime ended at the ending of volume 3-4??Volume 2 isn't the true ending is what I've just learned.
