I'm on chapter 150 rn and I probably shouldn't be reading this on my reds because I haven't stopped crying but I'm heartbroken for Art. He didn't ask to be put in this role. He got a second chance at life and discovered love and family bonds just to lose his family by telling them the truth PLUS his bond... Like I get it from the family's perspective but Art is just a victim of these divine circumstances. I just want the best for him and I'm so emotional and sad on his behalf rn

The story is good in theory but the MC is incredibly dense and honestly unlikeable. His empire is ranked first so he's constantly surrounded by big dogs but in terms of power, intelligence, and political contribution...he's lacking. The only reason we're given as to how the empire ranked first is because of...trust? Seriously? It's giving mary sue. Apart from his "likeable personality" he doesn't have any redeeming qualities. He's weak as hell and constantly needs saving, and blindly trusts anyone.
Frankly, I can't wait to see what damage the cousin is gonna do to his empire because he wanted to trust a celestial that's still bound to the nature empire through contract. Not to mention the ML - wtf is he even upset with? The fact that MC disappeared? Because he had to live and exist in the real world? The concept is cool but the execution is ridiculous. At least the art is pretty and the smut is good.

Personally I think this story has done a bad job of clearly explaining the world. From my understanding MC is the 42nd Celestial king, each king seems to have 6 lives, and the NPC's have always been the same. That means the Celestials went through 41 bad kings that it seems like the seme killed them over and over to get rid of them. The reasons they give (I think in ch 17) for why the kings were bad didn't even have to do with politics or anything like that. It was just that they didn't love the Celestials. In other words, the game doesn't seem to be set up in such a way where the skills that should be important to a ruler IRL are important in the game. It's set in such a way where what matters seems to be how much you care about your subjects. The Celestials and all other empires are capable of running themselves without their kings. We've seen Luhark handling a bunch of paperwork but MC never seems to have to do any work. We've seen how other kings of other empires are absent while their grand dukes take care of everything. So the game seems to not care about kings being politically competent. Being a good king in the game apparently has different criteria to what being a good king generally requires outside of the game.

Fr there's still a lot of shit I'm confused about like where is the real world in all of this, when does the game end (if that's even an option), what's the final goal the players should be aiming for, does anything in the game affect real life, where do these npcs even come from, what happens to the empire when a king changes (like does it do a complete reset), etc.

I hate that the FL gets reduced to a background character whenever the male leads argue. She gets pushed out of the conversation and has nothing to say during these scenes which is contradictory to her character. But then again there's tons of inconsistencies and plot holes lol at least the art is beautiful.

I feel like the story strives to be mysterious but executes it awfully. At over 70 chapters, the story and character motives is still very unclear. The MC’s confidence depleted as the story progressed. Despite how strong she is, she is completely helpless and constantly at the mercy of other people. I feel like I got catfished by the initial premise, lol. Not the most satisfied with where the story is headed but it’s too late to drop
I have a few gripes with the war arc but my biggest complaint is that they should have developed Art's student life a lot more prior to throwing him into the war. I mean, we didn't even get a competition arc or silly beach excursion arc lol. I think there were a lot of missed opportunities especially with the dwarves - an exchange semester would have been so interesting to see amidst the betrayal of some of the dwarves. The story could have been much more fleshed out rather than condensing the tension in a few chapters.
Completely agree, everything feels too rushed
