I love how Dir. Kang just likes Yiyoung so much that he rather letting him leave if that's what will make him happier. We usually see being possessive and greedy as loving someone deeper, but it's quite the opposite because these feelings aren't love anymore. To love is to wish the best for that person and do whatever you can to make >them< happy, not you.
