Honestly I dont think I have a clear standard, I just need
1. A good plot
If it's some overused, basic, confusing plot..I dont want it! Seeing common tropes can be nice and fun but, seeing the same thing 5 times in a row all in different mangas??
2. Good characters
I need a good MC, now The MC doesn't have to be strong or that smart (Well they have to have some kind of sense). The MC just needs to be able to make me and all the other readers think that "This is gonna be a good story"
3. Well Paced
Especially when it comes to coming of age mangas, and time skips. How does the story go from me just reading about the MC getting along with people around them just to see a time skip to like 15 years later where the MC is grown, 5 world wars happened, 50 of the favorite side characters died for some unknown reason. On the contrary I don't want them to drag a 2 minute conversation to the span of 50 chapters.
Uuh this was quite a lot but...I couldn't help it so too bad.
