liked the premise (i have a bias towards women being geniuses in niche fields) but it seems to have the same problem with a lot of worldbuilding for these types of stories: why are there cameras, especially modern day ones, and why do the perfumes have specific labels, also a modern day thing. I kinda wish they explain the setting more than just “it’s magic dumbass”

to those who ship fl and yuri, i see u and respect u bc that ship may never sail. I personally think yuri loves fl platonically bc she is the mc of the novel and views fl more as a savior than a lover but i understand why people see it as romantic. plus yuri i don’t think truly falls in love with the men and doesn’t really know how to fall in love but that’s just me

ive been reading up to chapter 153 of the novel and let me tell you guys the romance gets rough, maxi is a victim of abuse and still has a lot of unhealthy thoughts that don’t get really resolved sooner or later (duh) and riftan becomes super overprotective to the point where he doesn’t let her out of the house, especially after certain events like her learning healing magic and almost getting killed outside castle walls. It’s going to take a lottttt of time before she builds up proper independence and for riftan to support her, so this is going to be super slowburn and tbh so far very frustrating to read as a woman myself. so if you’re willing to make a commitment with this couple then get ready for a bunch of bs

how tf is the ml going to be the cousin, have you guys not have a good relationship with ur brother or cousins before?? plus mc is an adult in a kid body she’s definitely going to disapprove of that and alexei wouldnt go after his own damn cousin my goodness…please think of them as kids growing up to become friends bc the ml is already confirmed to be someone else

after reading spoilers and whatnot i still kinda hate the ML he doesn’t and isn’t really growing on me as a person.. reminds me of a man child
