i hope everyone who read ch. 140 understands the position subaru is in right now. she endured a traumatic past where she was ostracized by boys before kaokuro came into the picture. in light of what kaokuro said, the definition of love varies between person and whatever you deem as special might not be the same for another. be patient, TRUST and WAIT for subaru, and lastly, give her the space to think. i think it’s amazing how the author can describe feelings of uncertainty that cannot be easily relayed. (●´ω`●) love is not easy.
not everything is common sense to everyone. what might be easy for one, might be difficult for another. that’s why we need to adapt an open mind and provide support to those who need it ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ (a great example being kaokuro).
and when subaru finalizes her feelings, be respectful of her choice (even if she’s a fictional charscter) because there might be someone who is in the same situation as her… reading and connecting with hoshina’s story. (⌒▽⌒)

after reading chapter 167, my respect for the author has increased.. i really liked how the author was able to explain two definitions of protection for the students in an easy and consumable way for readers to understand. you can see how both teachers care of their students, but in different ways. for kikyo, isolating the girls from the boys was the only way for the teacher to feel assured that they were safe. for chidori, the boys distanced themselves from the girls bc of the ongoing hate that the kikyo students accumulated without a valid reason.
the teachers, both from different standing points, met up and came up with a solution to ease the tension between kikyo and chidori. because ultimately, the teachers want the best for their students!
whether or not you believe that kikyo’s teacher is right or wrong in her belief of telling her students that chidori is bad is up to you to decide. she’s an intriguing character with heartbreaking backstory.
