guys.. don't hate the emperor one-sidedly. he is not that idiotic as the manhua shows. the manhua lacks in details. of course I hated him at first too. but after reading the novel u will find him more charming. in fact, he is more cunning than the empress. empress is straight forward intelligent but the emperor is well balanced as he is both cunning & intelligent.
the empress was right. he maybe a player (though he is not) but he surely has the capability of being the emperor. & of course, he is not all good, virtuous person. A good person can never be a good emperor.
though I'm still not done reading the whole novel, I found JWJ's character development outstanding. He had more development than YZZ. the interactions between the empress & the emperor are more detailed & funny in the novel. (●'◡'●)ﾉ
