not to be that guy but why are all the hot new korean manhwa just the same thing in different fonts (and No i'm not complaining about the rape i saw the trigger warnings i'm just BORED because it's the same as every other slop bl on this site) give me something new to sink my teeth into good GOD i'm so sick of reading the same dynamic over and over in different fonts. if you're gonna be a toxic drama, serve me harada tier toxic drama. if you're gonna be funny, serve me punch drunk love funny. why is everyone doing this "manipulative rich seme" x "feeble broke uke" thing. it's all got the same bleak ass boring ass tone. everyone's pulling the same twists. i can see the misunderstandings->chasing arc coming from a mile away. is it because of the weekly update formula that korean artists follow? the webtoon/webcomic format is a plague on fujoshis. do the artists prefer this? or is it big now because the companies can produce more content in even shorter times and get bigger returns on investments? call me a rotting old hag but i miss the era when the most popular yaoi manga were the ones that released quarterly with like 70 pages and a full self contained story every single chapter.
the fact that it's a prison story i keep getting nervous thinking shit is about to hit the fan but nothing ever happens and i actually really like that i like the slice of life vibe it's cute and fun and every other manhwa i read is doing the dark and gloomy thing so it's refreshing to read like 30 straight chapters of 3 dudes hanging out in prison. i know it's gonna get heavy again at some point but im just gonna enjoy what ive got for now and pray for poly ending. or at least no-one-dead ending. a girl can dream okay?!
