Fascinating!! i loved the story, the characters development, the family bond that was formed between strangers, tells you that not just the people you share your blood with can be called family.....i gotta say i read it for the BL tag...but stayed for the plot. I gave it five stars☆ so yeah, a good read in total.¯_(ツ)_/¯
I know alot of people got BL baited lol but i wasn't disappointed.
I like the story....it feels real, it showcase how suffocating society and people's expectations are...it's about the ups and downs of life and acceptance of your beloved one's quirks, hobbies and personality. I really love that...reality is harsh and we can't always have fluffy BL...too much sweetness is gonna give you cavities lol. let's all devour the bitterness...*chokes on ashes*
Why would you hurt me like that!? my eyes are watering right now!! this is not good for my depression and anxiety!! i'm over here trying to avoid tragic sad endings [[but i read "save me" and i liked it so i thought this was gonna be tragic at first and then happy ending just like "save me" but it was the complete opposite, at first it started happy and goofy then the genre took a 180 degree turn like DAMN!]] but like the author be killing the main character and my FAVOURITE and the one who suffered the most by the hands of the brother he had taken care of for centuries and i do know that Dracula was able to kill him but he hesitated and decided to lose his life instead. but still there's something vague about these white "ice castle" vampires, why are they different? they didn't explain their origin?i know author said they're shapeshifter monsters but like why are their thirst so strong to the point of drinking vampires like some alcoholics
and they also didn't fully explain the contract thing with Hansoo?
anyways...i don't feel good and my heart feels empty but overall this was a magnificent story and the art is fascinating (especially their expressions).....i have the utmost respect for such a talented author.

I honestly can't choose the ML but the emperor's past is just the most tragic and so pitiful (both Rune, Martin, and caire are obsessed with Dia, and she is just toying with all of them, like please just pick one you can't choose 3 lol)....also alot of shit is happening because of misunderstandings, Kaizer's mom thinks her son is coming to kill her and the son thinks his mother is plotting to kill him. the empress of the great empire (Shinyong) thinks that Kaizer killed her scumbag brother without knowing nothing about what happened to poor kaizer....jeez.
anyways ! even though Dia's confusion is annoying the hell out of me....i really wish for her and kaizer's eternal happiness. cause they suffered the most.
I guess that ending was perfect....i don't know what to say as part of me is sad for a serial killer's death because he was not fine, he was mentally sick and he needed help, he should have been sent to a mental hospital...he lived through worry from people leaving him but i cannot grasp the fact that even though he didn't want people he loved to leave him, he himself made them leave this world....like that's just all over messed up....
I also would of loved it if Clark didn't crush Alex's dream when he stabbed him and Alex believed that someone finally understood him...he lived a pretty messed up life..he should die with that happy delusion that he achieved his "happiness".
let's not forget that clark was also fucked in the brain, he didn't report all those crimes and he had a hobby of writing documented files about crimes, and never reporting them so the culprit would get punished...he felt "superior" with only him knowing the truth.
so in my opinion both Alex and Clark should have died...with Clark killing Alex and then committing suicide in grief of his beloved's death...then they will find his collection of criminal reports.
The doctor was an innocent and stupid victim who was supposed to try to fix Alex's mentality not fall in love with a psycho, you've got an awful choice in men doc.
