So Youngwon slashed his own neck at some point....and I noticed in chapter 39 that Hohyun actually committed suicide too, he hanged himself...it was a faint memory of Youngwon seeing Hohyun Hanged by a rope...that's why he was so afraid that Hohyun was going to enter that room and see people killing themselves and Youngwon panicking thinking he might do it too...and he will repeat all this again. I can't blame Youngwon for his panicked, obsessive, overprotective self. he was obviously just a normal guy before all this started. but dude had to repeat the same shit, building up a relationship with Hohyun only for him to watch Hohyun die and Hohyun forgetting everything about him. the pain of dying he felt, and emotional and psychological trauma. I really don't want to see spoilers, but something tells me it's gonna end with someone's death. and not Hohyun this time

the ending isn't a happy one to me. but I'm willing to accept it as it is because selfish humans won't ever leave our boy alone after the destruction that happened. easily a masterpiece.
I loved the end, he really knew what kind of being he was in the end and basically achieved his wish of not being reborn again as he won't be reborn again, I knew he said he wished he would die for good but he said he had regrets of not being with the one he loves and someone who had regrets won't wish to perish so he lied, he will continue to live and exist as the earth, the source of all life and he will watch over his beloved & precious friends.....he is EXISTENCE.
one thing I'm mad about is that humanity views him as the villain while in fact they all watched him kill the Seer that was a far dangerous threat than Lee Ja-in who in the end only attacked forces threatening him...and in fact he can make humans extinct now very easily as he's earth itself.
