I guess the publisher/editor told the author "alright, pack it up, end this story now". We could have gotten the foreign kingdom arc but no.
Honestly, I was looking forward to more coffee styles and varieties but I guess they either ran out of different drinks or the above scene happened to avoid a copyright strike from the overrated and overhyped hidden mermaid coochie bucks shop.
All good things must come to an end :(
Seriously seems to be a huge and dramatic skip between 7 & 8. MC has the skills of a powerful magician, he could have shaken the cat girl off easily and not get involved. This is where most male MCs disappoint - not being firm in saying NO to women trying to cling to them so bad. Nor does he tries to clear things up.
Not only that, he willingly gets caught by the tribe and then there's suddenly a duel? Wasn't he supposedly powerful? If he was caught intentionally as a plan then show he was scheming and say all according to keikaku?
I feel like there was supposed to be a build up on the other side with the stupid hero. Why is he hell bent on NOT ever communicating with the MC before jumping to conclusions? Is he also an isekai'd dude who happens to be the asshole?
It was fine till now but I think the appearance of the cat girl is the beginning of quality downing.
Men like him really exist. You would think they'd leave you alone after getting a restraining order or be in jail for a long time. But nope, the moment they're out of prison, they'd hunt you down. And the worst of the worst is they still haunt you beyond their death through other means like false diaries and faked evidences to screw you over. Sounds like a fictional horror story, but reality is stranger than fiction sometimes.
I thought the salamander was a fox at first and had to look at the tail again
