If I could go to the novel and safe one person it would be iklis. He's got no one to depend on. I understand Penelope pov but she's smart en9ugh unlike him. He literally is like a chicken that just hatched having no idea about how the world function and considers one person their whole world . The way he kept on getting manipulates time and time again from Penelope to Yvonne to the people who mistreated all of home play a major part into what he has turned now. If cared for and given the proper environment to grow I doubt that he'd turned out this way at all
