I've literally never even been close to even having a relationship but I doubt I would get jealous, I've never understood why people get so sensitive when exes are mentioned (if it didn't end bad ofc)

Many people are just naturally jealous and get concerned when they see their partner still keeps photos of their ex, they believe that action means they still hold some feelings for the ex. It could also mean some insecurity on their part. That’s why a handful of people prefer not to hear anything at all about their partners past exes, as to not get jealous or upset. Keep the peace they say lmao

Tbf everyone has their own principles and boundaries when it comes to past relationships so I get them. My boyfriend is the type that prefers not to hear about my past exes because of how horrible they were, even tho I have no problem opening up. So it’s all just preferences. Some feel like it holds a sentimental value so they get hurt or petty when they see a fragment of their past relationship. But I’m just naturally a neutral person so I don’t let things like that affect me that much. I do get insecure if he’s talking to someone objectively more attractive than me or has to spend a lot of time with them due to work, but I always gotta remind myself to trust him and he always backs up my assurance ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I feel like that is the status quo and people on the average are like that including him, so I understand why he feels bad having to open up about his past because people normally wouldn’t have wanted to hear about their ex. That’s why I find it comforting to seeing Ho “representing” me in a relationship.

Yeah I understand that, that's why I said if they didn't end badly, ofc I understand why someone wouldn't want exes mentioned if it was something like that. I more of mean people that get really jealous over a past ex that was just normal, I think I just hate jealousy in general, since stuff like that has a chance of ending up badly. That might just be me tho since my dad had a habit of getting super mad when my mom would even just talk about a guy but I guess that's what you mean by people have different principles

it didn’t give that vibe to me, for me the mermaid is described as a mistreated animal which showcases the division of communication between them, i wouldn’t call lu xia innocent only isolated from society and once he leaves with doctor he’ll be able to reconnect and socialize and actually become “normal” (take word normal loosely english isnt my first language and cant come up with a better word to describe what im trying to say)
