IDK man as a person from SEA these stuff on my feed are something that i could live without but its entertaining to some extent, almost like watching a dumpsterfire LOL

She's not the first. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ Art (no mater which form it takes) , always pays for what their creator did.

Art has no opinion, but the fact their creator does bother people. Actually, they can't admit they liked something done by someone who goes against their opinion. That's nothing new.

The issue lies in the popularity. If she was less known, it would have done no damages.
But the fact she's one of the most well-paid author in the world and her works has had such a big audience doesn't let her the right for such unpopular opinion.

And some people had too much admiration for this book, thus, for the author. Liking one and denying the second is impossible for close-minded people. And for some, it's about pride. They can't admit they liked something, that the creator got this much out of her art, and has unpopular opinion. Don't know how to explain it in English. But when it comes to "morals" and "opinions" and in her case, "lgbt and all", people are unreasonable.

But not going to lie, I don't care about opinions in this story and though I'm not a fan of H.P, people who burn books are unacceptable people anyway.

I don't think it goes under your radar though. It's just that this kind of act is out of proportion. (Does it make sense?)

As for me, I really love this one book written by a racist and antisemit author. But for all I care, that book is hell of great. And a work should never be dismissed because of an author. Don't call yourself a book lover if this much is enough to waver your love for a work.

i see your point peeps nowadays make small things into a mountain nowadays, heck even something that is meant to be fun like books, tv shows and jokes are now apparently offensive. Then again one of the perks being in SEA is that everyone here tends to mind their own buisness lol then again I ought to enjoy the stuff i like to read despite people branding it as something offensive and phobic, man stuff like this makes me feel like im too old for the net and im in my mid 20's

I see, though stuff like that tend to confuse me here where I'm living we really don't give a crap what you do as long as you do no harm, its not that im conservative or liberal, heck personally i have a mish mash of opinions that go too far left and too far right(eg: I'm pro life and against abortion cuz where I'm from we are taught that human life is sacred, I also support equality in rights for people of all walks in life this is also due to how we were taught, we were taught by jesuit priests btw from there u can sort of narrow down where im from.) But to get straight to my point I'm curious as to why you are disappointed cuz I personally find it interesting as to how people think in regards to the situation and I also like comparing and contrasting peoples thoughts on the mater. If yyou do not mind that is.

Correct me if Im wrong or if there is something missing but she's talking bout the trans women(XY chrmosomes) vs biological women(XX chromosomes) and that they should be segregated in sports and the public restrooms , from what I can infer people are disappointed in her since she agrees that trans women(XY) should be segregated from biological women(XX) and peeps are angry at her since this stuff is transphobic (i dun get this phobic thing to be honest so she's afraid of trans people idk) and she is supposedly and LGBT activist?

* I used chromosomes kuz its confusing for me as I've been searching for a non confusing tldr, I did not grow in the west I'm from SEA and here we tend separate gender from sex not to mention we only have one prounoun in our native language that is applicable to all so do forgive me if u are pissed since this is how we've been taught.

Interesting, yo be fair you have the same insight as how the atheist and agnostic peeps in where i live, here in where i live sadly although the state and religion is separated by law, the masses think otherwise. Not to mention the media in our place doesn't help.
Why do u think that divorce law in our place is not yet a think. For me im pro divorce(since i have many friends and relatives being caught in a middle of a toxic and abusive relationship, and they are stuck with each other or caught in the crossfire.). Btw thanks for sharing ur insights, i rarely get to here these types of responses to these topics since peeps where im at are concerned more with other issues

I am not sure if I get what she means with her sentence. but from the medical point of few there are only 3 genders (or not?) penis; vagina; penis+vagina. so somebody with a vagina cant (or shouldnt) visit a doc who treats penisies right?
guess the mature probl is with toilets at your workplace. like a woman is empressed to pee beside sombody who has a penis. for me, if I am drunk- lol I fucking dont care. but when I am at work... I cant piss when sombody else is on the toilett too :/ strange thing.

Just wanted to rectify a part: the "(or shouldn't)" is not necessary. They simply CAN'T. Those two specialist are completly different since penises and vaginas don't work the same. You can't go to a "penis doctor" (lmao I don't know how to say it in English so it makes my answer look ridiculous) for vagina's problem as you can't go to a gynecologist to cure penis' dysfonctions. They might know a bit, but they don't be able to cure you nor have the right. (At least, that's how it work in France)

As for toilets, there's also women who had bad experiences with it and would feel really bad bumping onto a "man?" in the bathroom. And men could also feel really unconfortable with it. And frankly, I don't even know which party to defend in this so I won't go in opinions, but yeah, there's lots of things to take into account.

just wanted that it not sound so 'harsh' bec. basicly I agree with the commetn from the author (if I get her right)its. nowadays its kinda complicated not to hurt anybody. people also feel offended when you just have a diff. opinion.
