I feel so much dread for Kay. I saw something in the comments about a bowl. But decided to ignore it. But oh god it's bad. I already didn't like the duke as a character I thought he looked very different and beautiful from other leads. But that's all the compliments I could spare cause I found his character to be vile. It's the same trope as many other mangas/man has, which is disappointing. I could not warm up to his character not just for his actions. It is because of how the other characters reacted and thought about him, especially Kay.

He justifiably thinks the duke is a terrible human being, the sweet moments they share feel gross because moments before the duke does something awful against Kay's wishes. Everything he does that could be seen as kindness does not feel genuine because he always has a selfish motive behind it. He does not care for people unless it serves him. I said a quiet "Oh no" to myself when that bowl scene came up. Imma continue reading it just to see how it ends, but it won't mean I'll feel good about it.

It's like witnessing a train wreck but unable to look away. Sometimes I wonder why I torture myself. Idk why this hit me so deeply. Maybe because I found Kay to be a relatable and likable character despite him being so frustrating when it comes to combat and needing to be saved at every turn. Like cmon man pull your big boy boots on and show them what your made of!!! Beautiful art though. I would like to hear from others what they think. Pls, be respectful.

I really like the communication they both have with each other. So far, it's great. I love all the characters. I recommend.

This is just so cute and refreshing despite the serious and gruesome nature of it. I recommend 100%.

All of them are fr just shitty in their own way. The love triangle of shittyness if you can even call it that to begin with.

I'm genuinely concerned for MC. Cause the king is absolutely off his rockers. I didn't feel this sense of dread in a while. Of course, his appearance adds to his behavior, which makes it more uneasy. Looking at him, you can tell there is something off with him. I'm glad he doesn't look like the typical beautiful male character. It separates him from the rest. He stands out from all the other characters in this. I Hope MC somehow gets away, but I doubt it even if he does I hope something interesting comes out of it.

The main couple gives me the ick. Has the body of a 20-year-old but the mentality of a 10-year-old. Doesn't know right from wrong and has been through too much at this point that it could continue to stunt his mental growth and make him even more dependent on Kinnard. Idk what to make of it. I've been told it gets somewhat better. The side piece Yexing and Shahid. They had a couple of red flags that made me uncomfortable, but I was able to read through and they had a couple of cute moments so i was wondering what happened to make Yexing to act like that towards Shahid until that one "scene" came.

I let out the damn biggest sigh known to man. If I was Yexing I would not want to be near that muthafucka for the rest of my life. The fact that Shahid continue to harass him years afterwards pisses me off. On God I hate that son of a bitch. Why? Why can't I have a wholesome relationship for once without any rape? Why is this trope so prevalent?

And to you muthafuckers that tell me "if you don't like it then dont read it" or "then cry about it" yall make me sick to the core to think shit like that is normal and just a small "obstacle" for the relationship. You're allowed to criticize a medium that you like or don't like if you read/ watched it. Don't take it as a personal attack. The tags said romance and historical so I expect that and of course i expected for some messed up things to happen. But not in the relationships themselves. The art of course is beautiful that it makes my inner artist jealous.

Ive read a lot of manhwas/mangas and its infuriating how popular it is cause it isnt romance its horror. Yexings and Lous reactions to it and afterwards are the main example. If it had more accurate tags like psychological and horror alongside it then I wouldn't be as pissed cause at least it acknowledges that some of the themes here aren't for the faint of heart and I would have accepted it.
