Sure the plot a is a little off putting...but I don't understand the need to announce that you are dropping the story. If you don't like it. Then move on. This is not the airport, the only place you actually need to announce your departure WTF? Ppl are just weird asf. The need for attention and validation is just mind-boggling. Like it gives them some free pass from their "guilt" if they announce they are dropping it because of how horrible a story is.
