I'll probably get a backlash for saying this (as usual), but I think there's a huge misunderstanding about Uncle Pan's character, from what I've seen from the previous comments... He's much older and had more life esperiences, and heartbreaks than Qiu who's just an 18 years old just starting out on life. Not to mention that Qiu is very spoiled, acts immature and is infamous for being a playboy. I mean honestly, not trying to sound like an ass but anyone who's in their mid-20's and up and have dealt with shitty disappointments in relationships know better than to take a kid like that seriously right off the bat. Uncle pan is obviously protecting himself, because unlike Qiu, he's aware of their reality: that Qiu might eventually get tired of messing around with an older man and move on with his life. Because he has his whole life ahead of him. In some countries, he's not even legal to drink alcohol! Lmao! He's just a small bean sprout, barely out in the sunlight. Moreover, I don't even wanna talk about Qiu's sexuality as opposed to Uncle Pan who's gay. I'll probably go on and on. However, I will say that it's not very reassuring to date someone who wasn't originally gay, when you're gay yourself. From the beginning, Uncle Pan just went with the flow because Qiu was persistent. But his persistence was obviously out of curiousity. Curiosity that Uncle Pan was different and wasn't like those other people who flocked around him for his money. Uncle Pan was unattainable, and to a yound spoiled, rich kid like him that was motivating to continue pursuing Uncle Pan. He even said it himself in earlier chapters.... Nevertheless, I still hope things work out between them. There's obviously a huge misunderstanding going on between them. Qiu is a bit too naive and immature. He's used to get what he wants by flashing his money around. However, it doesn't work on Uncle Pan, who's quite reserved, mature and successful. Like Yang Yang mentioned before, he needs to get to Uncle Pan's level to be taken seriously. Oof I'm done...I wrote more than I intended hahaha!
totally agree with you. They definitely have to have a serious conversation & see where their relationship is & heading to b/c both were clearly on separate pages.
I get your point and I agree to some extent but I would still say, no matter how persistent qiu was, uncle pan should also not have just gone with the flow.. There's a saying in my hometown, one shouldn't take a whiff of what one wouldn't even eat..
Thank you for your wonderful insight that was well said and I agree!!!! @K
Thank you! Yeah, I felt that Uncle Pan was very easy character to understand/relate to. But, I guess I was wrong maybe because I personally see myself in him lol!

Exactly! Ecen though right now, we (as the audience) can see that Qiu is (getting) serious about Uncle Pan, but Pan doesn't believe it or wants to accept it. Which is why I feel like the last panel was very telling when his cig dropped. The sudden realization that Qiu cares more than he thought but also that there's a chip on the wall (tough front) he's put up so far. So, it'll be interesting to see how he handles it

Hmm, I get where you're coming from except, he wasn't the one sniffing around. Qiu was the one who came unto him and he rejected him repeatedly. He finally gave in because he'd hope Qiu would've been satisfied and move on. Also saying that Uncle Pan should not have gone "with the flow" is unfair and not a realistic statement. So I don't agree with you there. A lot of people get together without much expectations as to not pressure each other into unwanted serious relationships. Does that mean they shouldn't enjoy each other's company? No. Otherwaise, we'd have a hell of a lot of single people all over the world. When you first meet someone and they show interest in you do you immediately say to yourself that person will be your partner for life and that you wanna marry them? I doubt it. Not everyone is lucky enough to experience love at first sight, thus such thoughts/ideas are frivolous. We all "go with the flow" when we enter any form of relationship with anyone (be it be dating, friendship or whatever). Also, Things are unexpectedly getting more serious for both of them, and Uncle has had this wall up since the beginning. He's not playing with Qiu's, I think it's quite obvious that he's being realistic and protecting them both because he's not confident anything real can come out of their relationship.
Thank you for saying this and I agree. Uncle Pan needs a talk though...with a friend and then with Qiu. Adjoa B
Yes, exactly! I hope it happens soon. I think despite the huge age gap, their personality make up for each other's weakness and have the potential of being a real good match for each other. Uncle Pan is reserved, mysterious and mature while Qiu wears his emotions on his sleeves.
THANK. YOU!!!!! You said what others were too scared to... crack dad
Thank you! I just said what I felt was the truth because I totally see myself in Uncle Pan and would've probably done the same if put in a similar situation.
Like he literally approached Uncle Pan that gay men might be easier than girls as though it's mere s*x like it's not his fault he caught feelings ?? crack dad
I was confused about why Uncle Pan was getting such a bad rep from people in the comments since he wasn't the one who initially approached Qiu and manipulated him. Qiu didn't think about consequences and like you said he caught feelings and blaming Uncle Pan for that is quite unfair.

Exactly like he had what was coming and karma got his ass ???_??? They're just sensitive fangirls who want any two guys together. It's not even really their age gap, although that isn't realistic either, they don't really share any chemistry. I know it was pretty evident that he was beginning to develop authentic feelings for Uncle Pan but if you were told originally that dating you would be 'easy' and that they had a previous playboy history then they're obviously not going to take you seriously.

Yup! I completely agree. Unfortunately, this site is full of irrational fangirls who don't care about anything but "ship this, ship that" regardless if it makes sense or not if you look at it from a logical point of view. I know this is work of fiction but some aspects of the relationships portray reality and it's hard not to compare.
Nipple laser beam! I'm going to miss this comic despite how annoying some of the chapters were to read. Overall, it was good. Sad to see it end but oh well, all good things must come to an end. I love the author's personality so much. Found myself laughing throughout the whole epilogue lol
This manga is so precious, reading it again after such a long time and seeing how my two precious beans have grown so much is really something. I've re-read this manga 3 times so far, I don't think I can ever get tired of rereading it
Hmmm.... No face? Games of throne, anyone? Idk why this totally reminded me of GoT, also still need to finish the last episode idk why I've put it off for so long!
I'm reading this and then, like clockwork pounding noises and moans are coming from next door... I just stared at my phone and rolled my eyes, it's about that time of the night uh? My neighbors never fail banging each other every night around midnight. I can't even ENJOY this update!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
