i went to omegle just to chat lol when someone asked me what genre I've been reading I said "yaoi" as soon as I said they said "cool" then disconnected and it really bothers me why they disconnected. i am new to reading manga so i am not very familiar with the genre (?) just I thought yaoi is boy's love (like if you want to read some BLs, YAOI is the right genre (that's what i thought)) but i never thought that yaoi that I thought is not exactly what I thought lol instead of yaoi i should say "SHOUNEN AI" if i am implicating for BL stories ...

like i often got a reaction if i say "yaoi" . so i was really curious if i said something that made them uncomfortable. exactly, i just knew the difference between shounen ai and yaoi, they serve the same but the difference how they dived with mature scenes.
I think they are just homophobic if they disconnected intendedly. Im not sure maybe the signal has been or it was intended. But if it is intended then they dont like yaoi or more likely mlm relationship

I would, tho i usually still did on my pc. But i have kids, and although they still young and doesn't understand anything, I'm still uncomfortable when they saw me reading yaoi. They would stare hard at the screen or suddenly appear behind and ask me 'whatchiu doin mami' and i feel bad, feeling like a bad influence lol

My husband knows, he also have an acc here in mangago, since mangago is a good place to read manga, but he doesnt read yaoi / yuri stuff.
We pretty open minded about it, he respect me for what i like.
And for my kids, i dont mind them being fujoshi like me, but yaoi..... pretty much have lots of porn lol
