Agreed. The art is pretty, but when it comes to storytelling, it's not there.
eg. The scene where Xinlu was drowning, he didn't look like he was struggling, and Gable didn't look like he was tired.
If the artist does novel cover and illustration inserts that's completely fine.
He didn't look like he was struggling because He had to hold his breath as long as possible and panic would make that harder. You can see emotion at the moment he realized he was saved.
Or he just tired himself out and was really close to not surviving that moment.

you just have to add the manga/manwa that you are reading to your list, and then you'll get a notification everytime there's a new chapter.
How to add that? If I am not wrong, it's through the "reading" option, right?

So at the front page when you press on what you’re reading, there’s options that say
Want to read | Reading | Already read
You press the one that suits you best and of the ratings (5 stars eg) there’s a subscription box that is already ticked so you can leave it there then you scroll down to the last button and press submit
To book mark there’s grey lines at the top of each chapter and if you scroll down you’ll see the book mark option eventually

you just have to click the "Add to list" option on the manga/manhwa that you are reading, then that's it.

I have no idea why the author went with this artist. There are countless others who could have done a far better job.

And since you brought up the classic “you’re reading for free” bit, yeah, it’s an illegal upload. We all know that. But that still doesn’t change the fact that this is what people are seeing. If the work is out there, people will talk about it. Girl, public criticism doesn’t come with a receipt check.
The only thing more dead than the “emotionless” art you’re crying about is your ability to read the room.
