He is delusional about his brother due to his upbringing. I think that he knows his brother is insane, but he can’t let go of him thinking that his brother is the only one that can give him love.

Yes his upbringing is what makes him have expectations from his brother, I just hope his relationship with the seme to improve in a healthy way and that to make him realize he can be loved and appreciated. It's just frustrates me that he expects to have a good relationship with his brother after their grandfather gives up on him, but that don't happen, his brother seems to be very violent and manipulative so I can see him getting better in the future and that will only hurt the uke. :(

I get the frustration, but yeah, the whole dynamic is so fucked up. But I get lying to myself and being delusional. It’s really sad, but I do hope the relationship between uke and seme improves.

I agree with the above, but I do believe he does still crave for his brother’s love even though he knows deep down that that will never happen.

At first I thought Titan Yu(seme) x Xu Ze (uke) but I love them (=・ω・=)
I can go past that, what killed me was Nevermore when I found out James was the uke.It shattered my happiness and expectations for it so I give up reading it.
