A lot of it is intentionally confusing and dream like in the final chapters because it’s Giju crossing into the afterlife after committing suicide. Where he meets Youngdo who also died. I can’t be sure on the sequence of how it went down (because it’s all in a dream sequence) but the little sister was killed and sent in a box to the apartment, where he found her ( he was the first to open it ) so I’m assuming he was not in the right state of mind and in denial after that, leaving and only calling Youngdo to warn him about the hit on him before eventually committing suicide by jumping to his death. From there he’s in limbo talking to his birth mother, coming back to reality and realizing and accepting what all happened before finally passing on into the afterlife with youngdo ( as shown in one of the final panels where they’re together )

The shitty father was finally killed after the step mother found out what a horrible monster he was. He kills herself and him by setting fire to everything.

That’s been my interpretation of the ending.

pity train????? wtf??? this is pretty realistic for some especially since it demonstrates mental illnesses and how the toxicity can get them running in circles. oh my fucking god you imbecile

i really dont think its realistic, and tbh people like this are really fucking annoying for people like me, who actually have mental disorders. and im talking legitimately being diagnosed, not self-diagnosed. it's literally just enforcing the stereotype that people with mental illnesses are completely defined by them and embrace the labels as an excuse (lets be honest, how many times has he mentions he does things because hes a hikikomori and thats just how they are?). literally, we know nothing else about his character other than his mental problems. it's not an illness to him, it IS him. and jesus we do not need even more of those characters in fiction. but thanks for informing this imbecile that its a realistic representation of a mental illness I HAVE.
