I mean, even the real event of history is a tragedy one(?) (yeah we could say that...) so idk man if this is gonna end up the same or not. But the time travel aspect is such a nice touch (▰˘◡˘▰)

If you think about it.... This chapter is truly powerful and it makes me remember that one film called "tomorrow land", it's just need one person to change something as they can act like a whistleblower.

What Anubis and what Yanzi said, both are true. Anubis said that it's in human nature, greed, survival instinct and all. But what Yanzi said is also true, human will eventually seek for warmth and light and he can't change people, he just want to give them the "soil" so that "possibilities" can grow, whether they want to bloom or rot it's up to them. In this case, that one random lady choose to grow up more. She how she even offer them some bread even though she's also malnourished?

I think this chapter (especially) is like a "call out" to society too. Nowadays, most people reject knowledge and become anti-intellectualism. If you guys are familiar with "pyramid of capitalism" of the pyramid has "religion" aspect in them. Means that it's "easy" to "sold" some misconception idealism if you "sell" it and bring "religion" into the scheme (most of the time it's just some cult and fanaticism towards their leader) and gain something from their "religious" followers.

Yanzi, on the other hand is so scientific-based person, he's a medical student, that's why when he encounters something like A LITERAL GOD in front of him, he still try to think "rationally" (which impressive for me), it's like he knows the existence of God exists but it's not like automatically annulled the existence of science or his knowledge based on something that can scientifically proven. He knows those things can walk side by side. Despite the fact that he has a high IQ, he also has a high EQ and SQ.

I read it in some (legit) religions, they encouraged their followers to read and seek for knowledge so they can gain wisdom and understanding. Some people seek "instant" thing cause of their survival instinct, BUT there's also some other people out there that want to change and seek for knowledge so that they can CHANGE not only them, but the people around them.

It's true that your parents can be a very different "version" from you and your other siblings. Like in their case, hayato is the one who know their parents' condition at that time, his "version" of them being a parents is different from all of his younger siblings

Oh man... Get behind me sakura and kiryu, I'll protect you

I can't help but notice how excited sakura when he went to his friend's house for the first time, but also it kinda make me think that maybe he's also come from a pretty rich or maybe middle class family background (before being abandoned by his own family) cause how he seemed pretty... nonchalant(?) about how big kiryu's house is. I mean yeah you can say he's THAT excited to go to his friend's house, but it's sakura we're talking about i expect him to he more like... "WOAAAHH??!!" u know

And then at the last panel too... Notice how the other three was like shocked to hearing someone's yelling like that, but sakura's expression... he didn't even flinch. I imagine he's also live in the same circumstances before so all those yelling and stuff, he also "familiar" with that ╥﹏╥ man, to think that he thought it's "normal" to live in a shed bxjxbdjdnjd ╥﹏╥

I feel sorry for kiryu man... The last panel, his expression bcjxhsjs uuughhh i know that feeling must be so "embarrassing" to him, like he wish his friends wouldn't witness such thing (/TДT)/

OH PLEASE THEIR NAMES!!! PLEASE IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL bxjzhsjsjd

OH MY GOD, i just noticed it, his name is "utagawa" and the word "uta" means "song" in Japanese and finally when i check the kanji to make sure if my guess is correct AND IT IS!!! but what's even more fascinating is that i expect it to be written with the kanji "歌" (popularly use for the name "uta") but instead the mangaka put the kanji "唄" (the hiragana is still the same ofc whish isうた and the pronunciation is also the same)

Ok so here's the thing, maybe you guys familiar with animanga jujutsu kaisen, there's a character named "utahime iori" right? Her kanji in uta is written with the kanji "歌"

And on this case, the ML kanji is "唄" which also have the same meaning, "song" but more into a traditional one. You can search it "shamisen" music or instrument (it's a stringed instrument) that kind of instrument mostly use in kabuki play (you can also go check it, it's really good).

So like you can use the kanji "唄" for specify a traditional song one (mainly shamisen music), and "歌" for more of "common" or "general" songs.

OK NOW HERE'S THE PART THAT MAKE ME WANT TO CRY (I'm a very emotional person)

MC's name is "Kanata" right? The "kana" in his name is written with the kanji "奏" which is like a shortened verb of "奏でる (kanaderu)" basically means "to play an instrument". "Kana" can also be used as perform music or melody. The words can also be used when you describe the music is beautifully played or with so much expressions/emotions (make sense right with MC's "ability" to "sense" someone else's emotions or feelings when they sing or play instruments)

OK NOW BARE WITH ME HERE!!! The verb "奏でる" often use to "play an instrument" but ESPECIALLY a stringed instrument one. Remember when i said the kanji "uta" in utagawa named is actually "唄" for specify the "song" in that name is for a traditional shamisen music and shamisen is A STRINGED INSTRUMENT!!!

NOW IT'S MAKE SOOOO MUCH SENSE WITH THE STORY AND HOW THEY FIND EACHOTHER BRO like THEY MEANT TO BE?!!

(Another reason to pick up my kanji practice again... Maybe Japanese language isn't so bad after all, maybe i'm just dumb )

PLEASE I'M JUST HERE TO YAP, DON'T READ IT, DON'T MIND ME

I honestly found kim dan character interesting, you can say all you want abt him, but if you think about it, whatever he had done up until this point is because he wanted it, like when he went to bought jaekyung a present, it's also just because he wanted it, not like he had some ulterior motive, want to gain some cookies point, like if you tell him "what did you gain for doing that? Why are you even doing that" etc etc he would simply answered it cause he wants too... But like, he knows when to stop.

He's not physically a strong person but at least he can and always tried to voicing his opinions (this is where i found this trait is similar to nakyum, despite being more lenient and more petite in appearance and have HUGEEEE i mean in nakyum's case it's like HUGE HUGE HUGEEE power imbalance they CAN bravely voicing their opinions even when they KNEW the consequence for doing so) what i like about him is, despite the fact that there's a HUGE power imbalance in their relationship, he knows NOT to depend on anyone and always have dignity within him. Yeah he appeared on the more submissive side but he's not fully give in to submitted into someone, like he knows to stand up on his own foot despite the fact his circumstances is like that (kinda sad tbh, like he's forced to growing up )

Just a little bit of spoiler but basically:

1. The ML told Mesan about his plan to destroy the exorcisms organization that's why Mesan believe him immediately and this is also the reason why he wanted to recruit MC to be on his team (a little intermezzo abt the organization, it's called 나례청 romanization: naryecheong, it's actually also a culture reference from ceremony in korea, i think the root of this specific ceremony is from china, which basically a ceremony especially on new year's eve on lunar calendar when you wear mask and chanting a spell to drift away evil spirit from year before so that they can go with a "new spirit" for next year, most of the time they'll wear mask and bring some sort of tools, if you watch exorcism in korean tv media like movie "exhume", you'll probably understand it a lil bit. They'll held this narye/나례 ceremony for government office, new home, etc. So yeah that'd be the reason why ML mostly wear mask when he's on duty)
2. He's gonna make the rest of the team forgot about MC's identity, basically like erased their minds. Some of them gonna be in a critical condition cause MC basically hurt them all with the intention of killing LOL ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
3. The "teacher" of the MC is actually still blood related with ML
4. The novel itself, i can say it's pretty graphic and have a looooot of references to the Korean's folk, spiritual being, beliefs, culture and etc. Basically the next chapter, MC gonna used his own bone and blood and make it like some sort weapon (bow and arrow)
5. Oh and they're gonna clear up the misunderstanding part because Mesan would told MC about ML true intentions with the organization and that he actually not the one that kidnapped him
6. Before ML enter that exorcisms organizations (naryecheong) they have a contract by blood, so you can't hurt the fellow exorcist or use spiritual spells to them, that's why ML need MC to team up with him cause they have common enemies and he can't take down the whole organization by himself. Also in the next chapters, ML gonna coughing blood cause he already broke the contract when he erase the memories of the other exorcist from the organization. When you break the contract, you'll feel the pains as if like you're leading to death.

DON'T MIND ME! I JUST WANT TO YAP PLEASE DON'T READ IT

So after i re-read it again, i can say that Euijoon is a good and reliable narrator, also i can RELATE to him on spiritual level like if i read his monologue it's just feel like so.... Human(?) like he's not just a one or two dimensional character, he's loyal but he's not 100% naive and dumb.

The part when i feel that "damn... Euijoon's narrations hit hard" is the part when he feel like it's such a waste for liking the first jerk (sorry forgot his name) it's not like he was crying cause he can't be with him but he was crying for how long his time gone just like that for liking him for so long and left with nothing, the empty feeling after you cut off someone is just HITS CLOSE TO HOME

Second is when he narrated how he feel pathetic for waiting for gunwoo like the sleepless night, waiting for him to call or text him, or just wait in his home and hope he would knock on his door even sometimes all those waiting make him found himself in a position where he just stare blankly like the feeling of emptiness when someone you love ghosted you without saying anything, move place, change their phone number and all LIKE DAMN, he DIDN'T GET ANY CLOSURE THAT FEELING GOSSSHH HITS CLOSE TO HOME

I find this highly relatable when feel like it's hard to say or do something, at chapter 77 he wanted to a hald-day off, he already have all those excuses to make cause in his mind it looked it's gonna be hard to asked that, but then turned out his boss was like "yeah okay" and he was like, "( ̄∇ ̄")" (i found it kinda funny tbh, and then when he cut things off with his jerk boyfriend and come clear like "i cheated too" and the part when he said, "on this day, the things i expected to be tough and challenging, turned out to be far too simple" "i feel like i can breathe again" sometimes things like that does happen, like you expect the worst but then it turned out to be not that hard if you eventually PUT YOUR MIND AND HEART FOR IT, euijoon made up his mind there and it feels like "the universe" also cheer for him. It's such a meaningful chapter for me.

Euijoon always keep something as a memento, like the roses fom gunwoo or the roses from that jerk boyfriend AND THE LIGHTER TOO XHDJHDHD AAARGHHH he's just like me fr fr like yeah i can boldly relate to that, i also find it HARD to just throw away something that belongs to someone i found really dear to me...

And what author's said on chapter 88.5 is true, that their relationship can meet a sweet and happy ending because of euijoon who's holding into it, like oohhh! I get it know when i re-read it, i REALLY REALLY understand what the author means when they said, "beom gunwoo always made a it possible for euijoon to flee" or "beom gunwoo always dug a hole for euijoon" now that i remember about it, he's the one who asked him to be more open about beom gunwoo's work, even asked chaehyeon about gunwoo despite the fact that their first encounter was that bad, he's also the one to cut ties to with that jerk bf so that he doesn't feel any guilt and come to beom gunwoo after he sort things out with that jerk bf. Not like i said that gunwoo didn't put efforts OF COURSE NOT, but i feel like euijoon really take A BIG STEP to enter gunwoo's world even when he always give him a chance to flee, he held him in a "loose" knot, yet euijoon doesn't want to let go of that, he just wanted gunwoo to be honest with him and talk things out with him. "I could do anything for you as long as you're honest and loyal with me", he's probably that kind of person.
