Kisses x Kiss x Kisses
Honestly, this made me SO FRUSTRATED. Please make it clear if this is a fluffy or a dramatic manhwa, one minute they're all lovey-dovey, next minute they're having an annoying misunderstanding that could easily be avoided if they just communicated. "But if it just ended like that, it would be boring!" YEAH, IT WOULD BE BORING! If all you have going for your story is pointless drama and random fanservice I don't even know why I should bother reading this or leaving this review because if I take away those two major factors your story would just be some half-assed trash. Speaking of half-assed trash, what's wrong with the huge gap in how Mijeong and Hangyul developed? Mijeong is a really frustrating character to even look at, maybe because he reminds me of myself. The way he's so overly self-conscious and sensitive about stuff, and how he so easily gets angry. It reminds me of the male gaze and how a lot of people write female characters, all hot-headed and tsundere like that. It pisses me off how they make it look like only Mijeong is getting all worked up over nothing even though he did nothing wrong and had a completely valid reason to get angry. Meanwhile Hangyul appears unaffected, and I guess apparently it makes sense to you all because he's been hiding his emotions a lot. I have never seen such bullshit since reading Hakwonmul, and even for that I managed to finish all 84 chapters because it wasn't that bad, but THIS, I couldn't even get past ch. 43 because it physically hurt to read. Reading this felt like a heterosexual romance, in which Mijeong is the 'girl'. In fact, if Mijeong was a girl from the start it would make a lot more sense. It's so poorly made that I feel like he WAS meant to be a girl but at the last minute, author decided to make him a guy to attract girls who read BL, the ones that don't admit the fact that they insert themselves into the role of the feminine "uke" main character to live out their ideal romance which they can only get from BL that's mostly made by women for women because straight romances are often written by misogynistic people or people who just don't know how to write a good female character. Was Mijeong always meant to look so embarrassing? And I get that this manhwa isn't finished yet but when are they going to delve into Mijeong's family situation? You might be thinking they will but in these past idk chapters, they haven't hinted at it once. They just said Mijeong gets uncomfortable and feels lonely and forgotten because of his huge family and left it at that. What the fuck are we supposed to do with all of this unresolved trauma? Please don't waste your time on this manhwa. It's the middle of the night right now and I totally regret wasting my late hour manga reading on this bs, so save yourselves while you can't. I'll edit this review once I collect myself and remember the things I wanted to point out.
Hakwonmul
Wasted my time reading this. Don't end up like me
Plot was good at the start but when they started dating and all went downhill. The main characters were developing more with the side characters than with each other. Keeping secrets, miscommunication, not even trying to communicate with each other at all and it all just felt one sided. Jinoh is pretty deeply flawed and kept quiet the most, Minoh deserved better. Halfway through I even wished they would break up because the aftermath would be way more interesting than continuing to read the same bullshit the entire 80 chapters. I get what the author was *trying* to go for but they failed. And now it just ended up in a mess even though they had a happy ending. Overall, don't read this.
