He did'nt. Three years ago I always thought he did suicide because of pride, but I hurt me more rereading it and realizing that: we was writing a apology letter to move on with hes brother, he looked back at him because he was ready to be with him, like in the beginning of the chapter the old man was a hint he was ready. THEY WERE GONNA BE TOGETHERRRR. if he was gonna do suicide he would have left a note to him. Sorry if I made the story worse.
So many people are complaining over how the relationship is “toxic” and how “a real relationship would never be like this”. Well first off, many of the yaois we read are Not realistic at all which is why it’s called f i c t i o n. And also I don’t see how the relationship is toxic at all, Haru knows that Meiji is insecure and possessive and he even says that he doesn’t mind this because he loves him and would rather be with him! It’s such a cute lovely short story and deserves so much more love!!
