It hurt my heart so much when Yoo Won's mother said she was garbage. My mom worked her fucking ass off to support my sister and me and as a single mother, and I kept remembering her when I saw Yoo Won's mother. And my mom used to say the same thing about herself. It's so, so heart breaking and unfair when mothers are so amazing and strong and powerful and unyielding when it comes to providing for and protecting for their kids, but then turn around and don't see any of that in themselves.
On a happier note, I laughed so hard when I read the translator's note: "Mother of all plot twists."
