In the novel at around chapter 100+
- Hailen is trying to get out of the duchess' grasp. The duchess noticed how close Gailont and him was and was warning Hailen. Hailen also broke his engagement with his fiance much to the duchess' disappointment and the duchess threatens Hailen that she will get rid of Gailont which Hailen laments because the duchess is Gailont's biological mother who is you know trying to get rid of her own so for her fake son. Hailen's ex fiance then visits Hailen and also threatens him since she didn't really want the engagement to be broken. Hailen shrugs her off then a few chapters later Gailont was accused of idk killing someone? Or doing something I forgot. He wins the trial anyways.
Then at the end chapters, Hailen tries to persuade Gailont to reveal his true lineage but Gailont refuses saying he doesn't need the duchy he only needs Hailen. Hailen inherits the dukedom and Gailont a knight. The last chapter ends with Gailont assisting him like an attendant in the bedroom and they kiss but no snu snu.
And that's all I've read and remember.

Here U Are
Perfect Propose
These are stories that actually depict being queer accurately (and stays away from yaoi tropes and conventions) in our world, great human drama writing where u actually feel like the characters are real people that may as well exist irl
