actually ahjussy has delusions due to the accident when he save mc from the fire & other traumas but he manage to be mc's guardian and took responsibility of him while he still can. As mc's grows up ahjussy's mental illness is getting worst day by day, also even though he serve as mc's guardian it was not legally registered, so he had some difficulty in school his only friend is the girl in the story and his foster 'family' in the current timeline of the manhwa was actually his bully's parents, even though he is smart he always get in trouble for defending himself as a result his scholarship (sponsorship?) was revoked.
Mc falls in love like a dog to ahjussy so, after high school he began working different part time jobs (he can't go to college because they don't have money and also cuz of his school record) for him to earn money so he can take ahjussy to a professional. They got into a relationship but it was not easy because in ahjussy's delusions the current events on the manhwa is what's happening, even though in reality mc doesn't do anything bad to him he think of him as evil that rapes, abuse, and confined him in short he sometimes cannot distinguish reality from his delusions. It's very sad because he ran away many times from mc and most of it him and mc got in trouble + the poverty cuz mc's mother has a huge debt and his aunt won't help, she even blame mc for her sister's death . The story is very tragic and heartbreaking, especially whenever ahjussy has episodes . There is a scene when ahjussy's trying to defend himself from the heesu in his delusions and he actually stab the real heesu, after almost minutes when he came back to reality the real mc almost die while begging him to comeback (to reality) thankfully ahjussy cameback and brought him to the hospital but while mc was being treated he was thinking of ending himself, he was in the fucking rooftop and was contemplating to jump in CHRISTMAS!! yesss the same Christmas scene on earlier chapters so fucking tragic but I actually lie and made this all up.

He has abandonment issue, trust issue, attachment issue, etc. It was mentioned that his therapy was discontinued because of his shity foster parents, ahjussy should've have given attention on this details like bro you literally work as a prosecutor, you also don't lack money you should have know better (or maybe because of the plot LMAO). This is the only part I don't understand, mc literally has a lot of suicide attempts and ahjussy as an adult and professional didn't even think about his mental health? Didn't question the mc's situation on the foster parents house? His behaviors?
Nevertheless, I'm not condoning mc's crimes (arson, [but the shitty foster family deserve it lol], attempts of sexual assault, and rape) earlier I said trauma contributes to an individual's behavior, and their way of thinking, and decision making BUT IT DOESN'T JUSTIFY THEIR CRIMES AND BAD BEHAVIOR TOWARDS OTHER PEOPLE, ANIMALS, PLANTS, THINGS, WHATEVER.

I can understand that he might not be the best communicator out there but he seems to talk with people fine. He's unnecessarily hiding stuff from MC for no reason at all. He doesn't even bother to give a basic explanation to why he was late. He's always so secretive and sinister to the point of MC pulling some over the top shit again to get a basic human response from him.
