I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but it’s not really that good either. I’m reading this hoping it’ll get better but idk. His behavior isn’t realistic for someone who’s been isolated for his entire life. If he had like a few years outside before he got locked away, then sure, makes sense he wants to go outside, but he has no reason NOT to believe his father. In a typical situation like this, he would have developed Stockholm syndrome and would have demonstrated obsessive behaviors towards his captor. It would be realistic to resent his father, but it’s the only person he’s ever known, so he would have clung to him desperately.
It doesn’t make sense that the MC has common knowledge on random things. I think we’re supposed to assume he read them in books or something, but why would his father even give him books on that? It just doesn’t make sense. It’s dumb how he refers to everyone as "humans". In this situation, if I was in the apocalypse and cosmic horror came down from space and I was hiding inderground in a shelter and this random kid starts calling other people as "humans", I’d 100% think he was an alien.
I don’t get if there’s super powers or not. What’s up with that gang leader being "able to see people’s souls", like what? I initially thought it was a metaphor, but he referenced it so much that I started thinking it was like some type of magic ability. And it’s so dumb, like so so dumb. Literally the only reason why this "empath wannabe" got added to this story is to make the main character look cooler because he’s "scary".
Its entertaining I’ll give you that, but it’s incredibly predictable to the point I start making up alternative situations or dialogues to keep me going.
This is the type of story that I’ve got a feeling will make me sick to my stomach. Man I get so freaked with alien stories, it reminds me of the book 'All Tomorrow'. Other than that it looks interesting

Wasn’t it about something he said? The question is, did he say it while streaming or was it a comment he posted on another streamers stream? In this timeline, what’s her name, has stopped him multiple times from commenting on other people’s streams, and “backseat gaming.” She seemed to treat it as a serious issue. So I thought maybe he did that to some popular streamer, and that persons fans started to target him. They idolize their favorite gamer/s, and don’t like to hear that the gamer they idolize doesn’t have that great of skill. But idk.
Or, it could be a conspiracy to set him up, by that company, to torch his career, make him desperate enough to sign that slave contract, and use his skills and knowledge to find the map pieces. (I wonder if the map pieces lead to some sort of inheritance, since the ceo and his “superiors” are so desperate to find them.)

What’s up with the fugly style all of a sudden???? It was so nice and unique before. I don’t think I can bring myself to continue this series if they keep this art style. The previous one had also good pacing and clear direction and intention. This one isn’t really clear and gives nothing to the eye. It’s become boring now.
