So much happened that left me completely stunned in this chapter...
I genuinely didn’t expect Yeonwu to be so affected by the drug that he’d literally pull it out like that! I got a jump scare just like Rosa did lmao
Another thing that really stood out to me is how insignificant Yeonwu clearly is to the mother. Today’s chapter basically confirmed that she doesn’t care for him deeply at all, she seems to view him as nothing more than her personal boytoy. She literally forgot about his whole ass existence, let him attend a drug-filled party with zero warning…but then why bring him into her home, disrupt her child’s peace and even propose marriage? None of it adds up unless there is more to her plans??
And Yeonwu’s past at the host club? It definitely wasn’t smooth sailing. The mother also seems tightly connected to the club based on that flashback so maybe she even owns part of it or is considered one of the estimate SVIP clients...Considering Yeonwu came from the orphanage she sponsors...I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a whole system where young orphan adults who are unemployed or people like Yeonwu who have debt get funneled into the host club for “easy money”.
Also Yeonwu clearly carries trauma from that time in his life! We saw it even in the previous chapter with the gardener his flinching, his grimacing plus here with the words he was saying to Rosa…And despite Yeonwu viewing the mother as his “saviour” who eventually got him out, she still feels like an abuser of power to me. Nothing about her treatment of him reads as love. And I doubt he truly loves her either it feels more like a mix of gratitude and his longing for familial affection that he’s mistaken for romantic attachment.
I also loved the author’s symbolism with both Yeonwu’s and the mother’s necklaces breaking at the same time right before he starts making out with Rosa.
Honestly, the further the story goes, the more sorry I feel for Yeonwu and even more for Rosa. As for the mother she becomes more vile with each chapter. The things she’s done to both Rosa and Yeonwu so far in these chapters make my blood boil.
The summary already has caught my attention and with BWAT as the manhwa artist there is no question about the art!! I just know this will be a deliciously delightful read^^
We got arranged marriage between 2 kingdoms, royal succession drama and a love story laced with angst!! And it's a BL!! ><
The story is still so badly written...Although I did keep reading cause I liked the art and initial premise of the story I can't help but to admit that this manhwa was written so stupidly full of plot holes and nonsensical storytelling at times that made me feel as if it was a story written by a middle schooler...Like there is repetitive plot points especially miscommunication, superficial dialogues, underdeveloped characters, villains used just as plot devices, a ML who even though is a king cannot make any decent decision when most needed and is more used to having emotional outbursts and making rush careless decisions instead of using his brain aside from being horny af most of the times he is spotted around FL...At least FL has the whole traumatic past that makes her so timid and we see her working on it (even though it did get a bit too frustrating at times still ugh) But yeah adorable fam and nice drawing that's it lol Nothing more nothing less here...
If you want smth to pass the time with lil brain action and nice drawing pics you can give it a read!
Okay today’s chapter has to be one of the best so far and that ending was such a cliffhanger!!
We got so much information dropped on us and a flashback from their childhood era on top of it~
Here are my personal highlights:
1. Rosa and the gardener fiasco! The way she pretended to let the gardener off the hook so that she could slap Yeonwu but in reality she has already destroyed her mom’s favorite bonsai, which is literally the same age as Rosa(hope y'all remember lol )Meaning: that gardener is as good as fired and Rosa made it happen in the most savage yet elegant way. The look on the gardener's face said EVERYTHING. Ofc it could also be a symbolism from the author's side using this to show that Rosa's love for her mother is wielding while the one for Yeonwu takes root...
2.Rosa’s sadistic side peeking through again when she slaps Yeonwu, basically confirming her obsession and possessiveness over him. And Yeonwu just taking it like the good masochistic pup he is lol
3. Yeonwu’s “You know that’s a lie” line as a response to Rosa saying she hates him and doesn’t want to help him had me screaming!! We need that Yeonwu pov NOW. Every time I start feeling sorry for him, something like this happens in a chapter and I’m instantly unsettled again lmao Like I really wanna know what's going on in his head...
4. The symbolic flashback to when Rosa visited the orphanage that her mother sponsored and met Yeonwu! Even back then, by the looks of it Rosa clearly went straight into torment mode with him lol And I am also curious to see how much the mother knows...And even more disgusted by her if she knew who he was after meeting him at the host club.
Is it dropped by the artist/scans or have they just stop uploading it in here? I was planning to start reading it after marinating it...
Not gonna lie, the art change bummed me out at first but it’s actually not bad at all once you get used to it. As for the story it is still just as interesting as I remembered it to be but wow… it’s such a slow burn. So many chapters in and there’s barely any progress in their relationship! It’s making me so impatient ><
I guess I’ll just have to put it on hold for now again since I’ve caught up.

Remember that spoiler panel we saw in the artist's live of Yeonwu blushing half naked over Rosa who was wearing the dress shown in the latest chapters?? We were thinking is early and maybe it was Rosa dreaming of it...
BUT what if that's him being intoxicated and making a move on Rosa thanks to it...........
I mean judging from the ending of the chapter Rosa will def go searching for him in the next chapter and he is obv gonna be among women high af and idk if he did it intentionally but probably Rosa will get him out of there and then you know... That scene happens...
And what if THAT was his goal all along!!
The way I actually fell for it in the previous chapter and started feeling sorry for him after knowing his past... WTF was that last panel and his whole ass attitude in this chapter as a whole??!! It kept reminding me of the mall scene and that smirk he showed to the housekeeper when talking about Rosa...His story is really hard to believe now...So Rosa DO NOT hold back sweetheart!! Both him and your mom deserves everything that will be coming their way!!
Btw Rosa is truly one hard nut to crack cause the way she can still deal with these shit her mother and the boytoy keep throwing at her is truly admirable...Kinda miss Jaeon now haha But I also kinda hate the idea of him being used for emotional support and then thrown to the side like most 2ML... Especially after realising he has always wanted to have smth more with her and it's Rosa who made them into just fwb.
With Yeonwu idk what the author is thinking but so far both Rosa and us readers end up having a hate(mostl)/love relationship with him in each chapter...One sec you will fall for whatever he is saying and the next you will notice his other side and wish to choke him up...Plus with the pace things are moving even if Yeonwu is the ML we will have a long while to wait for things to happen...I mean rn with the way he acts I don't want him anywhere near her to begin with except if it's just her beating him up!! I can't stand his ass rn but the one I hate the most is definitely the mother...
Her whole attitude and way she is treating Rosa and Yeonwu irks me so much...
They all grew up so well and I absolutely adored the ending!! The plot was interesting and well written on the most part with the final arc feeling quite emotional and fulfilling!! I really recommend this isekai guys it's one of the good ones!!

I mean we did get some extra info this time about Yeonwu’s past but still...It felt so short...Btw It’s clear the man has been through a lot and judging by the situation, his suffering is far from over. I also think we can say with more confidence now that Yeonwu isn’t as twisted as we initially thought. He just comes across as a sad, lost soul who desperately wants to belong somewhere.
The absence of a family or a mother figure in his life seems to have been filled by the chairwoman. His job at the host club also feels purely circumstantial now just a way to pay off his debts rather than something driven by ulterior motives. And his so-called “love” for the chairwoman isn’t pure or romantic at all it’s more like he’s trying to label his emotional dependence as love, even though it clearly isn’t.
For me, the most disturbing part for this chapter though was Rosa’s mother. Her behavior really reminded me of those lecherous old rich men who date/marry women younger than their daughters. The way she talks to Yeonwu treats him alternately like a son, a boytoy in bed and even tries to make him a father figure for Rosa. It’s so unsettling, to say the least. Plus he is literally one of the orphans from the orphanage she was funding...
As for Rosa, she seems to be growing more unhinged and frustrated with everything that’s happening. Considering that she remembers Yeonwu from their past encounter and has shown clear interest in him in the recent chapters...Plus I think what truly upset her in this chapter was hearing him say that he "really loves her mother".
Sigh...We are in for one messy ride...This is about to get so much more interesting and complicated!! I really wish I had found it later now I can't even let it marinate cause of my curiosity...

So, for starters it really seems like Jaeon wanted something deeper with Rosa but she was the one who cut things off and turned their relationship into more of a FWB situation. She also didn't seem all that interested in sex or fantasies and it feels like she’s been going through the motions rather than actually being into Jaeon? Plus the only reason her desire and dominant side seemed to awaken this time was because of Yeonwu...She was literally imagining him while spanking Jaeon’s ass and cheek which is kind of wild lol Meanwhile, Jaeon on the other hand seems happy and relieved cause man things she is finally showing more interest in him and that they might explore new things together...Btw he never struck me as the type who’d get turned on from being hit but it was hot lol
And that ending scene of the chapter though...It did kinda make me feel sorry for Yeonwu watching him cry like that while watching a film, it reminded me of myself on my depressed nights sitting alone in my room...I am sure there is more to him though and I cannot wait for us to see his pov but yeah he also seems to have a vulnerable side to him that's genuine...Also the way Rosa held his hand felt so soft...I’m really excited to see where the main plot goes from here!! The artist is so good at building up the tension and pacing!!
Btw this is one of the few manhwa where I like to see FL with both ML and SML...Like they are both so fine ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
Like there are barely any chapters out and yet we already have 71 pages of comments lmaoo This really proves just how addictive this manhwa is! The unique and twisted theme combined with the spectacular art makes for a wonderful combination indeed~ (≧∀≦)
And omg what a chapter this was...I will have to re-read this at least once before collecting my thoughts lol The plot is thickening and Rosa's "awakening" is soon uproaching ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
This is so much more than your average BL manhwa for me...Really it has touched me deeply and each new chapter seems to dig even deeper...The layers, the complexity of it all and the tragically poetic writing...All the love stories that feel so full of longing yet destined to remain unblossomed...Plus I really feel for them and their struggle for freedom when it comes to those challenging times in history.
Btw I truly recommend this and regret putting it off for so long just because of the SE...But guys it's really so worth it and as much as there is sadness and melancholy lingering throughout, they’re portrayed in a way that does not stifle you.
