As for the art style it's not that bad just a bit unique with a bit more emphasis on the Korean beauty standards. Big eyes with aegyosal, plump gradient lips etc.
So far I am LOVING this!! It really reminded me of a fave BL of mine " The beast must die"!! There are some issues with the translations tho here and there and I had to hop around on different sites to piece the better versions together but it's all worth it!! Btw so far both blonde and black hair dudes are suspicious but I can't help but fall more for the black haired guy...His stares make me melt ><
But according to spoilers I saw on yt shorts it seems that blonde is the ML??
Lastly does anyone have any recs of manhwa like this?? Be it Straight or BL I don't mind!! I just want to find more with similar vibes and plot!!
I would highly recommend “Mary Psycho” even though it’s still ongoing and only has a few chapters published, it got me hooked. I would also recommend “Only Hope” or “Just Twilight”. But on top of the pyramid I WILL FULL HEARTEDLY RECOMMEND “Tears on a withered Flower”.

Also it's been years so maybe the artist hasn't yet fully found their style back? Either way I am happy this is here again and the plot hasn't lost its engagement! It's still as interesting as the previous season~

It had a great start for sure and even gave me "My Dear Aster" vibes (like aesthetically not necessarily the trope) but the more I read the more frustrated I got by the misunderstandings that could have been solved way sooner and spared us from some heartache! Other than that it was a solid read with a rollercoaster of emotions! I only wish the artist would give us more happy chapters and side stories...Their happy couple time was too short compared to the hardships and break up...
I honestly liked this manhwa cause it served nothing more or less of what it promised...It's not your typical romance or even anything close to that! In the times of war, love becomes a luxury...So if you are prepared to witness the cruelty of war, the military and the roller coaster way to survival of our FL you are welcome to join!
The FL in my eyes is not a weakling as some others have mentioned but just how your average young girl would react when faced with such cruelty...She was just naive enough to not realize what she was getting herself into...And her "love" for ML is also reasonable psychologically...When pushed to extremes, one will clinch to any warmth and hope they can get to stay sane...And finally the big finale twist that explained the blank parts about the ML...To think that the double agent was not Sasha but HIM and that's the reason he spared her (or even this was already planned and instructed from their bosses) and eventually developed feelings he never thought could ever bloom in his heart was a nice touch to this! In the end those feelings they both felt were unplanned but geniune!
Manhwa and Manhua have the tendency to be long unlike most manga which makes it hard for one to stay engaged to the end & for the story's quality to not drop either. However this is one of those rare exceptions that manage to make it! The leads' character growth, the whole storyline and ending were truly perfect! And the art was another level as well!
There always gotta be more than one layers to these og Female Leads...She is another White lotus bitch with rotten heart...even in the 1st life I guess she manipulated our girl...Honestly Belze was never bad...She was just too naive and easily manipulated in her first life but at least now she is well trained so she will notice early on! Btw ML seems to have also come back... Maybe because of her heart being with both of them when dying back then...
