I agree people should focus on the story more but I think referring to a character by their position in sex (uke) rather than their name is hypocritical. Making petty and snide notes at the end of chapters bc some people misunderstood a plot point is immature
How is it immature to clarify misunderstandings when it's affecting not only 4-5 people, but way more people that read this story?
Bro not all of us have a godsend memory. Through my stay in mangago (and only on mangago cuz I read on other sites as well) I’ve read over 3k mangas and manhwas so you can’t expect me to remember every single name. Referring to them as MC/ML or their usual sexual position is quite easier to understand.
Btw please look up the definition of hypocrisy and pettiness cuz you kinda misused those words here.
Also clarifying that there’s absolutely no sexual or romantic relationship between the mc and the dragon (while looking like a child cuz he’s not actually a child) is kinda necessary for the people that are kinda fucked in the head and thought the manhwa contained pedo stuff.
I think using uke and seme is for sure very hypocritical for this community. It's such a raw line to even tread on tbh. And I get what you mean by the pettiness. It comes off as a power play because more people are willing to openly agree with an uploader than disagree.
I get the idea of making sure there werent any misunderstandings and there is definitely an issue of oversexualization in this community too. So I get the necessity of having to mention something. It's just unfortunate the way they had to word it, which enabled this situation to turn into a right vs wrong side.

Yea I have shit memory too, I read prob over 100 different manga/manhwa rn, plus I have a life outside of all of this, as does most people, ntm most chapters of any will have a break of usually a week so getting onto people for not correctly remembering a plot point is weird. EXACTLY! I’m not saying it was wrong to make a note, but the way it was worded came off as rude. And most people are so scared to openly disagree with uploaders bc I’ve seen sm cases of an uploader threatening to just stop/delete a story just bc of backlash or any form of criticisms
Honey one thing is forgetting a name and another is forgetting a whole ass plot.
It’s like saying “I know many many people so I can’t remember this guy’s name specifically (plus it’s not a name I say on a daily basis since it’s not the language I commonly use or hear). I can describe him though, and he did this and that which made me feel this type of way and had this story so I remember that” VS a “Oh yeah I remember his name was Hyoun but I have no idea what he did.”
And oh yeah I absolutely can blame them, cuz that means they’re expecting something fucked up to happen (to either call it out, be entertained by it or overall just compare it to other stories) instead of enjoying the plot, following the story and have a good time reading.

Juju has stated they suffer severe memory issues due to going though chemo which is why they struggle to remember names, but has also taken the time to add a plot clarification for people slinging pedophilia accusations and you STILL choose to slam Juju and call them petty????

So you agree that people are backing up and taking sides with uploaders because they benefit off of them. Just like they expect readers to have critical thinking when reading the stories as to not assume genres and stereotypes, are we not supposed to have critical thinking when is comes to discourse? People claiming pedophilia when isnt, lack critical thought. But when people disagree with the method of an issue, critical consideration becomes the problem.
Not accepting their method isnt even an issue. It's not a side vs side thing. I think all parties can stand to learn from this, accusers, readers and uploaders equally.

I agree! I sometimes think it would be better if they were posted as separate stories here... Then these stories could be better tagged, principally with the "one-shot" tag. I personally tend not to like one-shots very much, so I think that would've been way better...
