Johannes is freaking weird and a coward like I totally get why Ludovika chose the emperor. The emperor isnt a good person at all but at least he did everything to get her, she said it herself she needs action and emperor gave her exactly that. He broke of his engagement for her, gave her many gifts and made her who is a lower ranked noble the empress. I would chose him too.

i dont think johannes was too weird when he was in love with her, he just became obsessive after. also isn't it stated that ludovika only chose the emperor because he had more power? i don't know if there were any other factors
