They usually censor kiss.

china censors affection from same sex couples, the authors would usually cover kisses with flowers or cloud or just remove the scene. idk if u heard about it but a show was once cancelled from china due to the actors being close (both guys) and was even banned from being near each other (correct me if im wrong though)

The two main actors from The untamed were forced to keep a distance from each other after someone spread an explicit fanfiction from ao3 that shipped them. Before they were close, always laughing and being friendly with each other other now they just act professional and try to keep the distance between them. China has a massive censorship issue, making it hard to produce bl/gl manhua’s without violating the censorship laws. Manhua authors can’t show any explicit scenes unless they cover it up, no kissing unless covered and even certain degree of nudity.
Even live action bls/glad they have to be careful. The Untamed had to reduce a lot of the romance from the of novel, that it basically became it’s own thing. Some people say that live action is more bromance with a hint of romance.
